I found the aftertaste very dry, but not so metallic as to be off-putting. Definitely some caramel and grain in the nose, but the smell is best described as follows: the backwash at the bottom of a bottle that’s been sitting out in the sun for a few days. The aroma is tricky for me: it’s enjoyable at the same time as it’s stale (if that makes sense). I enjoyed the beer on the palate. I taste caramel and something fruity. Overall it’s not bad at all, quite enjoyable actually. I’d try anything from 1492 twice. (Got it from Whole Foods. Bottle)
