Commercial Description:
The original Stieglbock is a powerful finely hopped and traditional Bockbier – the Berman term for strong beer – indicating a bottom-fermenting brew from barley malt. Brewed in August, the fermentation process lasts three months which produces a golden color beer with taste and strengths varying from year to year. This beer is perfect for beer lovers who prefer bold types of beer. 16.5 Plato

The bottle I saw looked nothing like the one pictured, instead looking more like the traditional label from this brewer. Light amber color, good head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor matched, a bit caramel, definitely sweet, but also had a green vegetable hop finish. Well made, I’m just not a fan of bock beers.

Bought a six pack of this stuff one night in salzburg. I was hurting in the morning. Ok appearance- amber color with a slight beige head. Aroma is malt/cereal and grainy as was the taste. Mouthfeel was somewhat smooth but ended up harsh towards the end where th alc. was apparent. Slightly overcarbonated.

Bottle. Pours an amber orange color. Head is white and dissipates fairly quickly. Enticing malt aroma. Malty taste with a nice clean hop finish. Not to overpowering. Goes nicely with my bacon and eggs.

Deep gold with orange tones. Nose quite nice, loads of malts, toasty and sweet. Big bready malts in the taste, a fair deal of caramel, then excellent hops at the end for a final dry finish. Me like lots and lots.

Bottle: Golden hue with fizzy mostly fading head and good lace. The arom has notes of caramel and toasty malts, ripen pear, floral hops, and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts malty with major caramel overtones. A crisp bitterness and yeast tones on finish. The feel is lively and crisp with a earthy finish. Overall, I would say this is very true to style and very quaffable.

Has a golden/reddish color with some carbonation and little head. Smell is sweet malted with some hop fruitness. Taste is nicely malted with a good hop balance. Overall a fine beer from the old country

A quite good maibock; hoppy. Has some raw flour kinds of taste. Malty, but not too sweet. A good one- thanks Britt!

Kind of blah, malty but not overly sweet. The hops are there in the nose and taste but are mostly dominated by malts. Amber/ruby in colour thin to medium head, medium body and somewhat bitter finish.
