Bit sweet good malty aroma with some dark fruits. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has toasted malt and caramel with some dark fruit appearence. Pleasant mild bitter finish. Hides the alcohol well. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Golden amber pour with a tiny head that lasts only seconds. Carbonation doesn’t last any longer. Aroma is sweet floral fruit. Candy sugar flavor with some fruit and alcohol. Too sweet, and I like a sweeter beer. Perhaps this is a better cool weather beer. Surprised that it is rated at 3.3 and not lower. Tranquillity (1166), Espoo, Finland
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Bottled. Deep yellow colour, thick white head. Semlls bready, alcohol. Taste ok, but seriously: too much alcohol in this one. FatPhil (3468), Espoo, Finland

Orange, thin head. Slightly lagery bocky aroma. Slightly alcoholic and artificial plasticky taste. Fairly resiny bitter - sticky and more like hop extract than whole hops. Not tasty enough to be a sipper, but not very quaffable either due to the alcohol. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Bottle from State Line. Pours turbid dark straw/orangy with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma is pale malt, citrus, honey, mild vegetals. Tastes of pale malt, honey, hops, and some tannins. Not a repeater for me. Rune (2792), Tromsø, Norway

Clear golden body colour. Sweet fruity nose. Flavoured with pears, light hops and a touch of sweet malts. Hidden alcohol. Roundd mouthfeel and rather well bodied (03.12.2007). | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2007 I enjoyed this beer, as it offered an array of flavors and melded well to offer a great complexity. It is fuller bodied, but stays refreshing, and is well rounded in character. The slight alcohol burn is hardly noticable, and actually offers a nice element to this well done heller bock. I wish it were slightly more hoppy, as it is noble...to say the least TheBeerOrg (1576), Kentucky, USA

Taste is sweet malt, doughy bread, light caramel and honey with harsh graininess. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly sticky with moderate carbonation. A bit too sweet and sticky for my liking.
