Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA May 12, 2003 Well the picture doesn't match but the bottle say's its a stiegl bock.Nice golden color,Big deep head foamy and slightly off white but large as hell.Sweet malt aroma with nice hop presence.Malty sweet, mildly hopped, slight hints of alcohol but it stay's well hidden.leaves a malty sweet after taste with a late mild hop bite that makes this brew quite pleasant to drink and seems to be well balanced in flavor. You get a little bit of everything but not all at once.
drpimento (674), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA May 30, 2009 Oh yeah!!!! mmm, excellent bock beer. Poured with a big, foamy, frothy off white head and a little lace. Lovely medium amber color, but lighter than most bocks I see. Aroma is very beery, malty, and hoppy. Right away in tasting I get malt sweetness that’s immediately tempered with plenty of hops for great balance. The mouthfeel goes with it in great carbonation and body. Definite alcohol warming. Could be a session beer but for the strength. Real easy to have at least another though. Hansen (2098), Randers, Denmark Apr 24, 2009 Dark yellow coloured and clear. Has a white head, mostly diminishing. Heavy, malty aroma, light bread. Light hoppy. Moderate to heavy sweet flavor. Moderate bitter. Oily texture. Soft carbonation. HenrikSoegaard (3825), Randers, Denmark Apr 18, 2009 Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Week malty aroma. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Strange spapy moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Not a very good heller bock. FrankJohansen (3184), Sabro, Denmark Apr 18, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden colour with a small white fully diminishing head. Aroma and taste of sweet malts and fruits with an alcoholic finish. fonefan (8711), VestJylland, Denmark Apr 2, 2009 Bottle 330ml. Clear medium to dark yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, toasted, old malt, wet old grass, sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090103] Ughsmash (3669), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 7, 2009 Bottled, 2005 vintage. Poured medium-brighter golden with a dusting and a ring of white head. The aroma picked up chewy bready malts and a pinch of honey with grassy and herbal accents.. semi-sweet overall with bright highlights, showing only slight age. The flavor had dry caramel supporting honey and lesser bready malts at the core with alcohol-spiked herbal bitterness around.. finished spicy and warm. Medium-bodied and very dry on the palate.. a bit grainy.. OK flow across the palate. This had nothing particularly excellent in it, but it was easy to drink. Radek Kliber (3687), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Feb 28, 2009 Bottle 504 ml - vintage 2005 (unfiltered)
Appearance: Thick ,hazed amber brew. Nose: Malty , fruity rich nose . Sweetness popping trough , grainy ending. Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied. Soft textured thanks for being unfiltered. Caramel malty brew that well covered dry alcohol. Not overly complex but with traditional feel. Tasty with late alcohol burn.
