Appearance: Thick ,hazed amber brew. Nose: Malty , fruity rich nose . Sweetness popping trough , grainy ending. Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied. Soft textured thanks for being unfiltered. Caramel malty brew that well covered dry alcohol. Not overly complex but with traditional feel. Tasty with late alcohol burn.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Aug 23, 2003 This brew poured a small head of quickly disappearing bubbles that left a transparent uncarbonated light yellow orange colored body behind. I thought the color was odd for a bock and rated it thusly. It did have a mild caramel malt aroma and a smooth mouthfeel with a slight hop bite in its finish. Its flavor was a mild malt hop one. Big cookie-dough/malty aroma. The flavor on the other hand is distinctly of baked apples. Nice flavorful beer. Dickinsonbeer (3604), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Ok appearance- amber color with a slight beige head. Aroma is malt/cereal and grainy as was the taste. Mouthfeel was somewhat smooth but ended up harsh towards the end where th alc. was apparent. Slightly overcarbonated. FatPhil (3560), Espoo, Finland

Orange, thin head. Slightly lagery bocky aroma. Slightly alcoholic and artificial plasticky taste. Fairly resiny bitter - sticky and more like hop extract than whole hops. Not tasty enough to be a sipper, but not very quaffable either due to the alcohol. FrankJohansen (3398), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2005 Bottle at the Bier Garden in Portsmouth on 4-30-05. Pours clouded bronze. Nose is sweet and malty with big caramel, light chocolate and ripened dark fruits. Taste is thinner than expected with obvious creamy maltiness blended with caramel, honey, chocolate, and dark fruits. Light pumpernickel bread notes throughout. Body is creamy and smooth. Minimal carbonation feel. Finishes with more caramel and malts along with sweet fruits and light chocolate. Nice!
