Bottle looks really good, nice format. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts strong malty, some dry notes, not too roasty. Finish with hints of caramel. Really nice!

Test vom 7.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,5,6,6,10,6 - 6,25

Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, sour. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081025]

Bottle. The Dunkel from Vechta smells quite malty, a little bit like bread, light sour and with some hints of chocolate. It has a big white creamy head, which stays normal long. The body is dark red. The taste is malty and light bitter, very well balanced. Normal carbonation, a little bit dry and with a medium body. A nice Dunkles

Stupendously huge, yellowish head over slightly hazy orange-amberish beer. Ambrée/Caramalts, slightly roasted, and some caramel obvious. DA: CO² very present, but aroma itself rather light, with a spicy yeastpresence. Caramalt, fresh grain, fine malt syrup flavours. DA: very neutral beer, just some discreet malts. After a short time, we both get a marked cinnamon flavour, however; DA speaks about nutmeg as well. More than probably the yeast. Warming up, more caramel coming to the fore. Light body, bit spritzy mouthfeel. Dry finish, very well attenuated again. Very neutral - and a quite lightly coloured Dunkles.

Bottled. Clear amber, small head. Light buttery malt aroma. Dryish with rounded mouthfeel and fairly light body. Light flavoured, but there’s some buttery light roasted malt. Low bitterness.

(sampled from a 100cl bottle at the Düsseldorf RB gathering) Clear, amber colour with a fluffy beige foamy head. Slightly sweet, dark malt aroma with a touch of caramel. Light bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smmoth mf. Malty, slightly spicy, herbal taste with liquorice; dryish malty finish with shy bittering hops.

Bottle. Sourish hop aroma. Nice, clear brown colour, very small head. The flavour has some malt, and hops that get a bit rough. But not bad.
