It’s my pleasure to present a collaboration with The Brewer’s Art. A Baltimore institution that helped to pioneer the Belgian beer movement in the States. Brewed with a combination of Spelt & Rye, accented with a blend of Heather, Honeysuckle, and Hyssop. The result is a rustic farmhouse ale displaying earthy tones & floral characteristics while maintaining intricate balance.

NOTE: This is a different beer than the version brewed at Brewer’s Art.

Pours a half clear gold to amber colour with small quick head. Its yeasty aroma contains banana, bubblegum with floral and spicy touch. Soft sweet in taste which reveals malt and bread with a spicy and light bitter finishing.

12 oz single bottle from Supermarket Liquors for $2.99. Clear orange appearance white a fine white head and active carbonation. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, floral notes, herbs, light rye spice, earth, rustic yeast, toasted grain, toffee and light honey. Similar flavor, adding more malt sweetness than expected, balanced by a mild bitterness. Medium body with a fizzy carbonation and light syrupy feel. An interesting beer overall.

Essendo uno stile che non amo particolarmente, anzi, devo ammettere che questa nonostante tutto è stata una discreta bevuta.
