On tap @ bere buona birra.

Bottle.

Pours maize with a fluffy white head. Lovely musty saison aroma, damp cellar and barnyard with the faintest hint of spice across the top. Slightly aggressive flavor profile, full-bodied, notable sourness. Orange peel. I don’t pick up the peppercorns particularly. Enough hops in the close, fullness and a slight warmth to the mouthfeel. A very good saison; after finishing this one I’m very hungry (thirsty?) for more.

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a hazy golden orange with white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; yeasty with notes of citrus, spices, and light pepper. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Good beer.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, hay, spicy, ginger, light candy. Sweet malty flavour, candy, citrus, pepper, orange peel, dough, light soap. Bitter finish, quite spicy, ginger, light Szechuan pepper numbness in the back. Interesting beer.

Golden body, white head. Aroma has much floral hops, but still some veggies. Green grass and fresh. Some herbalness like in tea. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Some oriental peppers and curry notes. Dry, thin but sweet. Very nice and different brew.

Bottle on the Black Country Train Tasting Part I, 06/07/13, thanks to Luca for trading me this one in Roma. Hazed golden orange with a thin off white head. Nose is lemon rind, spice, bitter orange, yeast notes. Taste comprises floral tones, farmy, yeast esters, bitter orange, hops in the background, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp dry finish. Decent saison - don’t see why this one needed to go into the silly veg category !

Black Country Beano. Outbound train tasting! Light haze, good off white head. Light airy palate. Fine carbonation. Good floral flavour. Light citrus. Light creamy malt. Light soft finish. A lovely soft floral beer and by far the best thing I have had from Stilwater.
