33cl bottle, thanks Travlr. Cloudy amber body, medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, vanilla, oak, some coconut, light lemon peel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, straw, some cereal. Light-medium body, light acidity, very drinkable.

Bottle at Max’s. cloudy yellow color, fluffy white head, solid lacing. Aroma of vanilla, lemon oil, tropical fruit. Taste is lightly spiced vanilla. Tasty.

Quanto mi è piaciuta sta birra!. Bionda con un bel cappello di schiuma persistente. Al naso sentori speziati, di lieviti; peperina con un ritorno agrumato. Al palato le stesso connubio di sapori. Attacco dolce di lieviti nell’intermezzo il sentore caratteristico del pepe e un finale agrumato. Il tutto è ammalgamato perfettamente. Non stanca mai. Buono il corpo e la carbonazione. La mirra non ho avuto mai l’opportunita di odorarla e di assaggiarla(!) quindi non saprei descrivervela e collocarla nella degustazione. Birra stupenda. Provatela.

Hazy golden pour with thick white head. Crisp citrus and yeast nose with peppery undertones. flakes of herb left in the bottle. Dry throughout. Notes of pepper, herb and citrus offset by right about of malts. Peppery Bitter finish. Very nice!

On tap. Clear yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet earthy and herbal spice with peppery notes. Very nice sweet earthy and musty spice, herbal tea, and pepper taste with a perfume finish and a creamy palate.

Pours amber with a large lasting head. Nose shows light bready malt, lemon and grapefruit, along with spicy Belgian yeast and banana. More spicy notes as flavours along with some serious mineral content further drying out the finish. Other than that there’s some bready malt and little else. Carbonation seems a bit full-on. Seems pretty spot-on for a saison but its just not exciting me.

Thanks to MikeD.Pour is a yellowish gold. Nose is orange peel , peppery, herbal.( rosemary ). Dry and long finish.Very good!

330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Super carbonated, when I popped the top a big gush of foam spewed from the bottle. A deep thick looking layer of foam covers a hazy beer that is the colour of an apricot skin. Melon, peaches and nectarines dominate the aroma with a sweet rich fruitiness. Full flavoured and silk like in the mouth with a creamy aftertaste.

Bottle. Cloudy pale amber, some chunks, large white head. Aroma of hay, nectarines, lemon pudding, spices - coriander seed, pepper and mature ginger (I suppose that’s the myrrh). That it’s Szechuan pepper becomes obvious in the taste. Fairly light-bodied, high carbonation. Light sweetness with grain and stone fruit, some lemony tartness. Bitterness is firm. Then a procession of spices that starts with white pepper and coriander and then’s a flash of prickly ash. Fairly dry finish. Good. If the spices are a bit overdone it’s only by a tiny bit.
