Bottle, this ale had a orange-yellow pour with haze and particles from the sediment, and made a large fluffy white head, the glass had generous effervescence, this beer left sticky, clinging lace on the sides of the glass as it receded, there was a partial ring of brown sediment on the bottom of the bottle, the aromas were bread and toasted malt but it was different than your typical malt flavor, maybe a chewier or meatier malt aroma if that makes any sense, some wild, funk yeast, mild floral hops, a little bread and fruit sweetness with light honey in the background with some fruit and citrus, there were flavors of bread, dough and malt with mild spice, a little orange fruit, light orange and other fruit flavor in the background with fruit sweetness, the finish had spice, fruit citrus and sour bitterness with a little malt following, the mouth feel was less than medium and had lively carbonation, this drink had a nice nose and flavor.

Bottle - 375mL corked and caged. Pretty gold amber pour with a tall, fluffy white head. Aroma is strong dusty yeast, grains, grass notes, flowers and dried fruit. Taste is also big dusty yeast, grains, earthy notes, grass, straw, dried flowers, hints of unripe fruit and sweet malt. Body is light-medium with an extremely effervescent carbonation. Finishes with more yeast, earthy and floral notes, grains, malt, hints of fruit and straw.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold with a very large white head. Aroma was slightly funky, yeast, lots of citrus. Flavor was moderately bitter, woody, herbal, grassy, lots of citrus, grainy, moderately funky and yeasty. The hops added an odd element as far as I was concerned, but the yeasty, malty base was dead on. Medium mouthfeel.

Sampled at Dan’s after Top of the Hops tasting. Hazy pale yellow with large white layer of head. Nice clove and faint vanilla nose. Flavor is sweet lemon, honeysuckle, lavendar, but not overly perfumy. Cool label art.

375 mL bottle courtesy of Butters. Thanks! I think I have a dent in my ceiling. Pours a hazy yellow color with a large frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of sweet bready malts, herbal notes, banana, faint nutty notes. The taste is nutty notes, sweet malts, spice, stone fruits and a tart finish. Medium bodied

Bottle. Tons of carbonation (cork nearly shot out as soon as I took the cage off.) Pours hazy gold with a big, dense cream head. Aroma is a pleasing tart/funk with a lot of spicy bread. Taste is a bit underwhelming. The spelt definitely doesn’t work great here and takes away from the flavor profile and making it a bit too sweet. There is a tad bit of spice and a decent heft of white bread.

The aroma is grainy, farmhouse, sour. The appearance is hazy amber, white head. The flavor is like the aroma, earth, cereal grains, touch of sour. The finish is earthy, peppery. Good overall.

This pours a golden color with an off-white head. Lots of fruity esters and Belgian yeast in the aroma; some sugary and spice notes as well. This is a bit sweet from a lot of lemon fruity ester flavors. Some wheat, clove, and herbal straw notes mix in. It kind of tastes like a slightly toned down Tripel. Not one of Stillwater’s best but still a pretty damn good beer.
