3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Full 37,5cl sample. The aroma has tropical fruits, hint of pepper, lemon, bit earthy yeast tones. Bit hazy, golden coloured beer with a nice, big, white head. The cork itself was in a bit of a hurry and got out with bang. Beer stayed nicely inside the bottle. The taste is very refreshing, light bitter, has citrus, some grain, earthy yeast tones and finishes quite dry. Carbonation is medium-high. Light-medium bodied beer. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Hitting the very end of a keg (took 4 pours to fill a tulip.) Cloudy blonde pour with an eggy meringue head. Juicy wheat flavors. Clementine marmalade on light toast. Challah. Creamy body. Some funk in the mix but it is not unpleasant. Suspect that this pour is not typical, and though not an otherwise extraordinary brew, but there is a strong sense of workmanship. Need to try again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear and bright gold body with a large frothy white head. The cork just about damn near exploded out of the bottle on this one, as soon as I twisted the cage it came flying out. Be careful. The nose is rather nice, some interesting spicy and almost floral notes, with some light yeastiness and pale malt. The flavor is delicate and lightly spicy with some interesting yeast influence. I like the slight earthiness that comes out on the finish. Light bodied with fizzy frothy carbonation. Pretty nice beer, subtle, yet with plenty of complexity.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Disappointed by this beer. Might be I got a bad batch; I think I got one of the last hits before the tap kicked (@Farmer’s Cabinet, Philly). Gold pour, foamy head. Subtle yeasty aroma, very mild lemon-yeasty-spicy aroma. Thin and muted.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from De Molen Beershop in teku glass. Pours gold with a thin white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast, citrus fruits, grass, clove and spelt bread. Very yeasty and hoppy flavors with lemon zest, herbs and malts. Spicy herbs especially on the finish. Light to medium body with heavy carbonation that stays on the palate for quite a while. Love it!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
375 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, black pepper, clove, herbal, straw, grass, toast, bread, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, black pepper, clove, herbal, straw, grass, toast, bread, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of crisp peppery spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, black pepper, clove, hay, straw, grass, toast, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a god bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent saison. All around great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with a huge foamy white head. Sour aroma of Belgian yeast, grain and apricot. Medium sour taste with some bitterness in finish. Smooth texture.
