Bottle. Poured a cloudy golden color with a bunch of sediment. Aroma is funky malt. Lots of malt, yeast and lemon zest.

Clear golden colored pour with some yeast chunks. Big white head that is slow to fall. Tons of lacing. Slight light-struck aroma with malt and yeast notes, with lemon. Taste is a refreshing lemon zest and malt. Dry finish, yet a sweet presence. Nice beer.

On tap at Beer Temple. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, spicy, light funky, hint of lemon. Flavour is medium-sweet, malty, bread, spice, tiny hint of funky tartness, lemon, firm dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. OK, sweet-bitter is a bit out of balance imho.

On tap at BeerTemple. Quite pale, hazy yellow pour with creamy white head. Musty, yeasty aroma, very farmy, stone-milled flour, saison-y. Flavor is tart, bready, lemon rind, nice rustic character, grassy hoppy finish. Palate is dry, smooth, med carb. Very nice.

On 35 cl bottel. Golden hazy color, sediments and good foam. Fruity and floral aromas, also nice yeast influence. Medium body & complexity. Well balanced with light initial sweetness, then some bitterness. Very enjoyable

Poured a cloudy light yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma of lactose and zesty, grainy malt. Medium body, flavour is bitter sweet, quite malty. Dry, bitter sweet end.

Cloudy golden coloured body with a nice layer of sediment, a zillion bubbles rising from the bottom very quickly, all with a nice microfoamed, five centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of yeast, bread, barnyard notes, funk, apricots, apples and a bit of unfinished grain. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a light grassy flavour, some malt and a lot of yeast - not too much else, perhaps some sweetness from fruit. Aftertaste shows a good complexity with the flavours around the yeast, but little else. Overall, a decent beer - about what you’d expect from Hof Ten Dormal with a nice grain finish - not great, but expected. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 19-July-2013 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 12-December-2013.
