Bottle. Pours a clear light gold wit ha white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grain with a bit of wet grass, light fruit and a hint of earthy spice. Flavor begins with sweet grains as well and is joined by a light sweet fruit note, a bit of spice and a hint of grassiness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scopey (3246) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours cloudy straw yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is herbal, dough, sherbet, tinned peach, pear and apple. The taste is lightly tart, lemon sherbet, spice, dough, pear and Braeburn apple, with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Decent.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 OldMrCrow (1518) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle from Big Star, tasted side-by-side with a Hof ten Dormaal Blond from the same.
This one was part of a Stillwater bonanza that I picked up a few days back. Cloudy yellow-brown with a rich fluffy head. Wheaty clove and banana on mildewy linoleum, quite a bit more so than the Dormaal blond. Restrained hop character, mouthfeel that is spot, gently lemon-tart in the close. Not as bright as the Dormaal.
A very nice beer that I would happily drink any time, but at $9.95 for 325ml it can’t really compete with Saison Dupont at $8.99/750ml.

Draft. 16 oz. Pint. Cloudy gold, very weak head that floats lightly on the top of the beer. Really not much in the nose, maybe light yeast. Thankfully good flavor. Lots of pale malt, farmhouse funk (mild as it is) and a mild hop for a tiny bitterness. Light body, real drinkable. Has a "knock back" ability. Nice summer brew.

Bottle: Dark straw, a little dirty, moderate to large foamy white head, nice lacing. Dull floral notes, somewhat wheaty and mealy. A soft spice also exists. Spritzy wheatiness on the tongue, dull floral, and a hint of pink peppercorn or something similar. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Peperry wheatiness on the exit. Not bad, a bit musty, wished it were a bit brighter.
