Wow! Fabulous beer! Look out Belgium!! This is right up there with the best. Poured with a foamy, frothy, off white head that lasts and good lace. Color is a hazy amber. Aroma is a pungent blend of yeast, malt, fruit, grass, earth, and fresh cut hay. Flavor is similar with the carbonic acid, yeast bitterness, and malty sweetness prominant. Body is perfect for this beer. Finish has the more extreme qualities dropping off quick and the more balanced and milder qualities with a slower taper to a medium length. Wow AWESOME BEER
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 dabubbleboy (72) - Virginia, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Poured draft into flight glass. Slightly hazy, golden straw in color. Sage aroma hits the nose & palate coming across with strong floral notes, but nicely balanced. Perfect carbonation, refreshing & lovely.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Marsiblursi (2327) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 13, 2011
(Bottle) Pours hazy dark yellow with a white head. The aroma holds soft sweet citrus (tangerine, lemon and lime), coriander/spices, cracker-like malt, light phenols and incense. Undertones of wheat, wet grass, wet asphalt, clove, white pepper, salvia, mint, lavender, matchstick, earth (maybe barnyard), dust and flower shop. The nose is perfect in balance. A light touch of yellow fruit/pineapple and pear esters as the beer gets warmer. Super dirty in a rather clean way. The flavor is dusty dry, light bitter and light acidic. Tones of flowers, herbs, spices, citrus, subtle fruits, crackers, dust, wet stone and light incense smoke. The mouthfeel is clean, dusty and soft with a medium crisp carbonation. The finish holds numbing spices, dust, wheat, yeast, fancy hops, tangerines and crackers. Medium bodied. For me this beer is a perfect symbol of what is wrong with the ratebeer community - a fantastic beer without the epithet Imp o Barrel-whatever will never be an evergreen on the top 50 list (let him who is without sin cast the first stone). Anyhow, as the kids say: OMG! just as ass kicking as a good white whine.
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Powerstation (21) - BELGIUM - MAY 2, 2011
Very delicious sweet balance. Aroma is sweet, malty, a hint oranges and pepper. Medium nice carbonation, very light and dry mouthfeel with fine some creaminess. Flavour has lots of white pepper, sweet crisp malts, thyme, some roses.

Bottle from DaSilky1. A slow pour produces a huge fluffy head that sits atop a golden body the whole way through. The aroma is really quite hoppy for a Saison with florals, citrus, yeast, and a bit of a barnyard funky scent. The flavors are spicy but very delicate. Citrusy hops with lots of herbal notes; sage, lavender, and clove, along with light grass, and spring flowers. Man, this stuff just flows along without any effort at all. In a way, this reminds me of Boulevard Tank 7 (a good beer) but not as aggressively hopped and far more clean and delicate. This is an incredible beer, I might be ISO another bottle already. There’s more I probably should be saying but I just put the pen and paper away and sat back and enjoyed every last sip of this stuff. The sign of a true masterpiece.

It doesn’t get much more earthy than this. This brewer has balls and imagination. I can think of so many places, situations and pairings where this beer would be magnificent. It’s really a crime to drink this beer alone and not paired with anything. The sage is brilliant. Gourmet. I would like a little richer body. Truly artistic.

Hazy golden honey color with a fluffy white head. Pear apple grape and sage aroma and taste with a semi-dry fruit and straw finish. Excellent.
