COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stateside Saison pays homage to old world tradition while celebrating new world innovation. Naturally brewed with the finest European malts & fresh aromatic hops from the United States & New Zealand. It’s then fermented using a classic farmhouse ale yeast and bottle conditioned to enhance stability. The outcome is a beer of unique design and exquisite taste, showcasing some of the best attributes of modern-day craft brewing. (Brewed by Stillwater @ DOG Brewing Co.)

Sharp and zesty floral hop aroma. Cloud yellow color with a large white head. Light sweet and bitter beginning with a lasting sweet finish. Thick palate.

(750 ml from Oak Street Provisions) Bottle gushed after opening. Pours cloudy apricot-amber with a soft one finger of white head that recedes to a lasting layer. Aroma of caramel, bread and pepper. Mouthfeel soft, light but full. Flavor of caramel and pepper with some breadiness. Lightly hot with a warming finish. A little softer and more subtle than some of the heavy-duty saisons I’ve come across lately.

Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a medium sized creamy off white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was yeasty and a bit funky with notes of clove, pear and a bit boozy. The flavor was tart orange, pear, bread and clove with light undertones of funk and bubblegum. The finish turned a bit dry and boozy but had lingering fruits. Medium body. Nice.

Draft. Poured an entirely cloudy yellow-orange color with a small, but solid white head. Aroma was orange, with notes of spice. Flavor was pretty enjoyable - orange and lemon peel, orange, clove, spice. Enjoyed.

Orange, hazy body. White creamy head. Citric cara aroma. Moderately bitter. Ok balance. Clean mouthfeel.

Will pour (without trying) a five+ finger thick cream head that takes forever to fade, leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color, some yeast left in bottle. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Light fruit and hay nose, flavor is light sweet citrus, some yeast, ABV is hidden. Decent saison, not sour like a lot of them. (gift) 750ml bottle from Madden Beverage Saco, Me.

An above average American attempt at the Style. Pours a hazy orange with a huge fluffy head. Nose is dry and crisp a touch sweet. Taste is a bit hayey and crisp. To much hop bitterness for the style. I think I may grab another bottle & throw in in the cellar for a year. The potential is certainly even if its not great fresh IMO. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy blond beer, white head. Aroma of citrus, oranges, malts, farmhouse, light candy. Slightly bitter flavour, little tartness, some sweet notes. Rather spicy. Medium body. One of the best non-Belgian saison I had to date, though that doesn’t say much.
