From a 75 cl bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a hazy gold with a thick off white head. Yeast and lemon chiffon nose. Flavors of tropical fruit and lemon. Medium bodied, high carbonation, effervescent finish.

Aroma of lemon grass and savory garden herbs. An imperial wit or double saison thing here? Golden blond as described with a chilly haze. Bitter tartness over crisp sweetness. No more sting than the average pale ale. In the farmhouse realm that Stillwater usually dwells.

In short: A fun belgian strong blonde ale made even more fun with a very generous floral and grassy hopping. Dangerously drinkable.
How: Bottle 750ml, consumed relatively fresh less than 2 month after purchase.
The look: Cloudy shinning dark blonde body topped by a medium off-white head.
In long: A nice aromatic nose with grassy-floral hops (lemongrass) and Belgian blonde ale fruity esters (banana-ish), watermelons and some other fruits, maybe some bubblegum. A pleasant mouthfeel with a full body and a lively carbonation. Taste is follows through with all the elements I noted in the aroma with the addition of pineapples. The sweetness sensation is relatively low for this type of beer. Hops character is very floral and grassy, almost reaching garden flowers territory. A solid bitterness that is just enough to balance out the whole thing. I’ve had many very hoppy Belgian ales in the past few years (that’s a new trend) but this one doesn’t get lost in the crowd, it had a personality of its own that a simple list of flavor elements cannot express. Very nice beer, scarily drinkable for a 9% Belgian Strong. And a few bottles later the wife complained I drank too much again but there’s no instruction on the bottles so how am I supposed to know how much beer is the right amount?

A amazing pour of golden goodness. Beautifully crafted Belgium Style with hints of tart and citrus fruits like cherries, orange, peaches and some chai honey lingering in there. Also a nice kick of sweet maltiness throughout. Just the right amount of Hops variety too, not to over hoppy either which I enjoyed a bit more for this particular style beer. Cheers!

from Erzbierschof - hazy golden-blond beer with a solid and long lasting foam; estery and perfumy; plenty of yellow fruits, some honey and a robust hop presence; pretty sweet and full-bodied; subtle yet fair carbonation; spicy and fruity estery finish; lingering solid hoppy notes leaving a decent bitterness; tasty and lively; decently dry - very belgian and well-made

Bottle from Whole Foods. Hazy golden pour with a small soapy white head that fades quickly. Dominating citrus and phenolic yeast in the nose with mild candy sweetness and bready malt. Sweet pale maltiness on the tip of the tongue, yeast flavors, citrus hops and end with a hint of spice. Smooth silky body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Nice aroma. Really hides the 9 percent well. Hoppy and slightly sour. A really dolid beer.

Citrusy and hoppy smell...slightly sour taste that lingers and grows...touch of sweetness at the end...not a big fan...

Yellow coloured and hazy. Has a white head, lasting. Has a nice complex aroma, hoppy, yeasty, acid, some special woods. Citrus? Flavor starts sweet, then light astringent, finish nice hoppy, herbal. Finish creamy, astringent.
