islay (1093) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 25, 2014
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 4-24-14. Bottled on 12-13-13. Musty, dry aroma features scents of sweet and dry white wine, bubblegum, peach, melon, and armpit. A bit of lemon tartness and just a touch of alcohol in the nose. Interesting and good smell. Pours pale yellow / gold with moderate effervescence and a small to moderate amount of beige head. Dry, spicy flavor features a green grape element. Nice but simple flavor. Light tart sourness. Some alcohol in the finish. Dry aftertaste. Medium body. Smooth, frothy, and silky in the palate with some liveliness. Doesn’t come off like a 9% beer, more like a 6% or 7% one.

Bottle shared at Cafe Sara, february 11th 2014. Bright golden hazy body, small white head. Aroma is flowery with mild banana, and citrus zest. Sweet caramel taste with lots of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, peach, cloves and a peppery finish. Light bitterness, strong yeasty and fruity aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle at Dig. Soapy nose, lemon, milk, honey, alcohol burn. Clear golden color with lace. Malty flavor, honey, citrus, bread. OK, like a pretty straightforward tripel.

maekchu (2059) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 19, 2014
Bottle at the Stillwater event at Dig Beer Bar. Fruity aroma, estery, peaches -- similar to Stateside Saison, but bigger. Pale champagne color. Sharp fruit, alc. spiked peaches / yeast and more fruit / some alc. warmth / dry finish. Medium body, warm on the tongue. Pretty good. A kind of blondish fruity tripel.

KansaiBeerLvrs (1855) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 18, 2014
Bottle at the Stillwater event. A clear deep yellow shining gold. A great yeasty full spicy aroma. A smooth med-full bodied beer. A really tasty beer that has benefied from getting to room temperature. Fruity, spicy, funky goodness, I feel it is actually tastier warm than cold. It probably jumped up at least .2 while warming up.

Gold, with a cm of white head. Aroma of pear esters and spices, with some sulfur, and resinous hops. Taste is the same, but more mellow and biscuity than expected. $3/12oz
