Review nine nine nine. Pours a very pretty golden yellow hue. Nose not what I expected without looking into the beer’s style or ABV, a bit of alcohol fumes but very good belgian estery character, pear/apple/peppery spice. Taste is moderately sweet but finishes clean enough, some more green pear and a bit of spice in the finish. Another really good beer from Stillwater, they are consistently impressive despite this being a dip into a style I’m not all that fond of.

12oz bottle from Proof. Yellow pour with a sturdy white head and soapy stick. Aroma is yeasty, citrus, floral, sweet grain, spice. Tastes are also yeasty with light banana, sweet bread, pepper, orange, bubblegum. All balanced well and no alcohol in the taste (slight background warmth). Chewy medium palate. Pretty nice.

Draft at Stub & Herbs. Golden yellow pour with a nice white head. Spicy and fruity belgian style nose. Very drinkable for 9%, good amount of floral hops mixing nicely with belgian esters. Nice finish.

Gold, with a cm of white head. Aroma of pear esters and spices, with some sulfur, and resinous hops. Taste is the same, but more mellow and biscuity than expected. $3/12oz

Tap. Golden with one finger head. Lightly sweet with some dry bitterness that hits quick. Nice Belgian yeast. Tripelish.

Bottle at Christianssand Brygghus. Slightly unclear golden body with a small white head. Mild and pleasant aroma, spicy and fruity with a funky hint. Flavor is soft, sweet pale malt, spicy, fruity and moderate bitterness. Well balanced in flavor, body and aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle@Home. Very Belgian style beer, on the hoppy side, but not really bitter. Easy going even though it has 9% ABV.

Pale golden-straw body, medium sized white head, sparse lacing. Citrus, fruity yeast esters, biscuit, a little sweeter than expected, a touch of grass toward the finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness.

Pours a light yellow colour with medium head. Aroma is sweet, malty, with hints and grassy notes. Body is sweet and quite alcoholic but with hints of hops. Aftertaste is strong alcoholic and ending in a slight bitter, grassy, hoppy taste.

Shared a bottle with Bruce. Pours a hazy yellow with a big billowy head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty. Clove. Nice yeast. Flavor is spicy and yeasty as well. Fresh and bright. Slight tart/sour quality to it. Some citrus also. Very nice beer. I've not had a bad one from stillwater. Great stuff. Body is a bit thin.
