Beautiful, even-toned red/black, with an inch of light brown head. Aroma is sweet and lightly grapey, with additional fig notes. Taste is much more dry than expected, and clean, with roasty malt, and dark fruit notes. $3/12oz

Can - Dark malts, light toast and a touch of cocoa. Deep jet black with a decent light brown head. Toasted malts, touch of light molasses and a bit too much carbonation which hardens the edges a bit. The carbonation may have killed this a bit.

12oz can at Brasserie V. Brown-black body with a foamy beige head. Kind of odd herbal meets chocolate aroma. A pretty solid dark saison. Cocoa touches. Not unlike a Porter in a lot of respects. Doughy malts, with a pleasant Saison twangy undercurrent. Easy drinking, quality brew.

Dark brown pour. Roasty and slightly herbal nose. Roast coffee, coffee, some spices. Creamy and medium bodied. Liked it

355ml can. Pours very dark cola brown, almost black, with two fingers of creamy light beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some caramel, light coffee, light yeast. Taste is similar, nice roastiness, light hoppy finish. Light to medium body, a bit too watery, medium carbonation. Not bad.

Black pour with slight tan head and very little retention. Aroma is roasty, herbal and dark chocolate. Tastes are along the same lines with coffee and spice. Texture is slick and a little under-carbonated for me. Interesting though.

Can pour opaque black with moderate tan head. Nose red fruits, cherry, light roasted malt, and slight powdery. Taste lighter fruit up front, light roast and cocoa. Mild Belgian fruit character.

The beer pours a very dark brown color with a medium tan head that fades quickly. The aroma is pure roasted malts and chocolate malts, and the taste is mildly umami and a touch bitter with a roasty aftertaste. The palate fuses a thin texture, average carbonation, and a medium-light body.
