3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a finger of head on a slightly hazy light straw colored body.
The aroma has a lot of fresh ground black pepper, a little sage and earth.
The taste is peppery, mild grain and lemon bitterness.
The texture is soft and fizzy.
An improvement on the standard wit beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Foggy, oaky gold. Big, fluffy, stiff head. Cool label. Standard longneck. Almost savory, light vinegar, some stewed fruit, phenols. Fermented apricot, black pepper, bandaid, yeasty. Lightish body, effervescent. Tangy aftertaste, sticky chemical aftertaste. Saison is, at best, sufferable. Beer Stop.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
I really liked this; light and fruity with more of a saison flavor than a Belgian wit but bubbly and refreshing. Really good.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
""touch" of white sage my butt! that was the dominating factor in the aroma and flavor. quite pleasant, but a surprisingly one-trick pony. on tap, so i was saved from another gusher. nice medium-full mouthfeel, even with the prickly carbonation. a little yeast and sweetness in the background, but this beer showcased the sage without being as funky or saison-like as the other Stillwater brews I’ve had. 7/12 - hops (good) + carbonation (bad) come through more in the bottle. More complex in aroma and flavor, but the feel suffers, too gassy."

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Nice aroma of sage and citrus. Nearly clear medium amber with a solid 1/2" white head, streaky lace. Good looking. Taste is unique and cleansing - wheat and malt are present, but so are herbs and earthy, dry-grass sage. It all moves smoothly to a lingering finish that is mostly earth and dry-grass bittering that is somehow appealing. It isn’t exactly a Witbier, but it is original, and it is very good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
large white frothy head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. dark yellow thick hazy body. aroma: moderate hoppy, citrur orange, coriander, sage. if: moderate sweet (honey, fruity). ff: light sweet acidic and bitter, plus salty; long duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and light astringent finish. bem condimentada (lembra manjericão, sálvia e coentro). bem diferenciada do estilo, com alguma acidez de limão, mas com ligeiro amargor e bem mais temperada. sente-se um pouco de álcool no final. uma das mais complexas representantes do estilo já degustadas por mim. 130s

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Mild fruity aroma. Starts malty, spicy, notes of some herbs, mild sweetish. Finish more dry, a bit yeasty. Fruity like peach. Okay.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance: lightly hazed medium gold; short creamy white head. Aroma: lightly herbal, with light lemongrass and citrus. Taste: funky, slightly salty, with strong notes of sage. Finish: sour fruit, light smoke. Notes: Didn’t much work for me, although it got better as it warmed a bit. On draft at Quench! in Silver Spring, Maryland

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Well, certainly has one of the nicest names to say of any beer. Bottled 05/06/14. Nose is heavy wheat, heavy spice (sage, dominant, probably too much), light citrus peel and juice, lemon, orange, tangerine. Pours lightly hazy but boldly intense golden with above avg carb and a rocky-soapy white head. Taste is lightly tart and lightly bittern, sweet but not cloying (it’s probably secondary sweetness that does it), strong scratchy spice with strong citrus (orange and tangerine) in good balance with each other. Yeast is highly peppery. Fullish body, spice and wheat dominate the finish and aftertaste, probably too heavy for me to consider refreshing, but clean and crisp and a worth experiment in moving the Wit away from tradition.
