COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
starting with a base of German wheat & pale malts this crisp slightly hazy foundation was then accented with a blend of Sterling & Citra hops providing a intricate blend of herbal grass & tangerine citrus flavors and aroma. to pull this all together and to complete the ’cleansing’ aspect of my vision i gently finished the ale off with a touch of white sage, lending a mild earthy spice character to the blend. of course let’s not forget our house saison yeast that brought all the elements together leaving a dry yet intricate finish.

A big surprise. Poured a golden yellow with a white laced head. Smooth and full bodied taste with the slight earthy taste if safe complementing the floral and grass hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lovely subtle and intricate flavours of citrus, herbal, slight banana, and Stillwater’s saison yeast. Would rate this a lot higher if it wasn’t for the over-pronounced sweetness. It’s not a cloying sweetness but is mainly evident on the midpalate. I’ve found a few of Stillwater’s saisons are just slightly too sugary and overbearing in comparison to the other delicate flavours in the beers. I guess the head brewer has a sweet tooth!

From notes. Tasted on 10/21/12 from a capped 750mL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a thick white head that slowly recedes to fairly thick, even lace. The nose is straightforward wit with light malt and plenty of spice. The flavor is quite spicy, not much malt, a solid example of the style, but not terribly interesting. The body is light with overactive carbonation and a medium spiced finish.

New Year’s Eve tasting Flight (1 of 3 7:14p) - bottled. Serious amounts of carbonation! Apricot color with a large head to float a dime on. Aroma of peach and tangerine orange. Feel the carbonation on the palate. Nice bitterness, and dryness from the time on the sage. Bitterness lingers on the palate after a minute, or two.

Orange, super hazy, frothy white head. Smell of belgian yeast esters, fruity malts, some hops and spices. Moderate sweet, quite fruity, nice malt flavors, melon, quite nice. Moderate bitter finish. Very nice belgian. Lovely and complex

Pours a sediment-filled golden with a resilient white head. Aroma is...grains. Flavor is fruity, lemon, orange, light spices. Finish is herbal and citrusy. Lingering lemon-lime. Extremely refreshing. Medium body, average to strong carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Julie did not have. The sage makes it taste like a belgium ale in stead of an American farm house ale

Bottle at the beer bistro. Hazy golden pour, with a huge white head. Big earthy aroma, im gettin the sage, and some notes of lavender. Big hops, zesty citrus, some yeasty notes, with a nice corriander finish. Quite complex, mouth feel is a big fuller than i expected, but this was super satusfying, and refeshing. Finish was a touch dry, with some herbs, and more of the earthy herbs, and citrus zest.
