3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yeast throw up, dirty, phenolics, lemon sweetness, grassy meadow.
Creamy, soft body with some slightly rough grains (wheat?). Black pepper lingers with light bubblegum.
Unique slippery wet finish (like Listerine breath strips give), lemon drops. Complex, pronounced.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle, dated 4/23/13. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a small white head that quickly disappears.
The aroma is wheaty malts with some ripe citric fruit and spices (sage) and some earthy yeast.
The flavor is sweet floral soapy malts with some fruit, earthiness and sage. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, interesting saison, but a bit flat, overly spiced and a bit soapy.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (brewed at Two Roads in Stratford, not Dog in Baltimore).
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly to fully diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (basement/concrete), with strong notes grains of paradise, coriander, sage, other notes of cotton candy, alcohol, sugar.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Overspiced, unfortunately...some nice elements in there, but the sage/pepper onslaught makes it into just a novelty beer. Sweeter and more boozy than I expected from the 6.6% ABV...drinkable, but not all that enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy straw gold with pillowy, rapidly settling head. Aroma is herbal, floral, belgian yeast, smells fairly sweet. Flavor is strong herbal, thyme, fenugreek, with a sweet yeasty finish. Soft carbonation, medium-light body, very smooth texture, mildly dry finish. Not sure how it is really a witbier but very good.

Amazing aroma of Saigon yeast and sage. Golden. Comparable to my CP Saison in that flavor gives way To a slightly soured malt flavor and citrus fades. Carbonation on low end but aolid
