4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle into a New Belgium tulip. From old-ass notes.
A: Pours a hazy straw color. There’s about one fingers worth of creamy, white-colored head, as well. Lacing is really beautiful.
S: This is very sage-forward. Buried underneath that note is a solid undercurrent of orange peel. I wouldn’t really consider it complex, but it sure is evocative the way the aroma balances itself between these two notes.
T: The opening flavors are quite spicy, with additional notes of coriander to go along with all of that white sage. Further sips help to accentuate a wonderful tone of orange peel, also. There’s also a bit more complexity than the aroma suggested (subtle notes of apricot, cream, and wheat show up). This brew is really about the excellent sage and citrus peel character, however.
M: Initial heftiness is a tad much, however the finish helps to alleviate this with its crisp, clean finish. Carbonation is high, par for the style.
O: Subjectively, saisons are pretty hit-and-miss for me. I’d easily call this a ’hit’ though, thanks to its balance between drinkability and good (but not great) complexity.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hmm a hybrid, a saison or a wit? I’d lean more towards saison but either way its a tasty beer, slight hints of hoppiness glean through the spicy yeast profile.. definitely dry and good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours light golden diaphanous with a sheet of white foam and nice lace. Nose is peppery, sage, citric tones, lime, coriander, grain and good yeast character. Flavor is full grain, good clay like yeast, some hints of mint, coriander, lime, orange, chickpeas, and some pepper. Medium on full bodied with hi carb and some dryness on the finish. Another good showing from this brewery I only recently approached.

12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s. Gold and clear with a white head. Aroma and flavor is wheat malts, herbs, floral, potpourri, grass, yeast, citrus fruit, earthy bitter hops, light spice and sage. Light to medium body with a crisp, clean feel and a dry, lingering finish. Pretty refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle, pours orange golden brown with a small white head. Hoppy fruity aroma with tangerine peel and seville orange marmalade balanced against the belgian yeast esters with coriander and spiciness coming through. Nice hoppy Belgian style ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to arminjewell: Poured a murky yellow with a fast dissipating white lacing head. Aroma is musty funk a bit sour to the nose. Taste is citrus with hints of grass and yet soft in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice spicy and herbal saison. Great name too! Deep hazy gold. Sage, yeast, bubblegum smell. Even more herbal in the taste. Some lemon and hop bitterness. Kind of heavy for saison. Good stuff.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big ass bottle. Poured a beautiful unfiltered hazy golden color with a nice white head that eventually dissipated. Amazing taste of orange peel, citrus, coriander, and subtle hops. High fizzy carbonation, medium body. Wow, perfect balance, amazing! PS: words can’t describe...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Gold with a white head. Aroma is intensely herbal and spicy - licorice, sage, ginger, pepper - with mandarin and hay. Less intensely spicy and sweeter than suggested by the aroma with lovely honeyed hay meshing with mandarins, tart oranges, leafy lemon with the spices reasserting themselves in the dry finish. Intriguing and subtle after the aroma.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, pale gold. Huge head that only calms down after 5 minutes in the glass. Aroma is herby, honeyed and floral. A light, ginger spiciness too, maybe. Taste is yeasty, sweet, then unripe red fruit dry. A sourness kicks in at the end. Good body. A tiny bit bonkers.
