Hazy yellow colored pour. Big white head that settles down to a little layer of fine bubbles. Little bit of lacing. Aroma of malt and lemon. Slight corn taste with a bitter finish. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can. Pours very light pale hazy yellow with a billowy white head. Aroma is a touch gummy with wheat, some light citrus and hints of spice coming through. A touch peppery and lemony. Flavor starts with a bursting citrus character, quite hoppier than expected but it a good way, giving way to the lighter spice and doughy notes in a clean crisp finish. Light to medium body and a crisp carbonation. Excellent "americanized" version of the style without being all hops.

Big foamy head that vanishes. Yellow and fizzy. Nice Saison aroma. Pronounced hoppy bitterness. very thin body. Kind of crazy getting good beer like this from a can. Pretty dang good. I got one for you Mike!

Pouring at BBF in Boston. Ended up hanging with Brian after the first session, pouring with him during the second. Crushed many a can. Many, many a can. Pours a hazed glowing gold with a medium sized white head. Soft grain, a bit of musk, yeast. Soft lemon, light musk, bright and crisp. Gentle bitterness on the finish. Wonderfully easy drinking.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nearly clear, pale yellow-gold with a 2 finger, fluffy white head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is mostly yeast, stone fruit and floral, citrus and fruity hops some very light cereal grain notes. Flavor is floral and grainy up front followed by slightly funky, fruity and spicy yeast, nice citrus, floral and passion fruity hops, a little pepper and mineral notes. Light body with a neutral feel and light, but blanketing and sharp carbonation and off dry finish. Good stuff, but the malt side is pretty lacking, the yeast and hops make up for it well enough, though. I am not really sure what makes this a Specialty Grain style beer, but it is a nice, light and flavorful hoppy Saison.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can @ The BeerMongers... Poured pale, hazy yellow with a thick forming, frothy white head. This was a nice drinking lager. Sort of drying, but ultimately very refreshing with a prominent yeast spice character in the finish. Some husky, grainy, maybe rice-like tones, but clean. Low bitterness on this one too and with 4.5% it is a great session.

Pours a clear yellow with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is that typical stillwater treat and light malt. Taste follows, very drinkable.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I’m assuming this is the base beer for Premium, as it resembles that beer quite a lot in several ways and has the same ABV, though it has American hops rather than Saaz so perhaps not. Beautiful yellow with a rising bubbly carbonation and sticky head. Aroma light lemony citrus character, hints of grassy hops, pils malt evident. Taste is lightly sweet, bitter finish, lemon rind character prevalent in the front, carbonation level not exactly where I’d like it but otherwise this beer hits all the right notes. Mega drinkable, great beer to buy a sixer of and drink in a session. Fascinating stuff, another great offering from Stillwater.
