I poured a 12oz can into a mug. It was canned on 6/16/14 and cost $3.20 ($0.27 per ounce).

Appearance: Bright lemon skin yellow hue over a hazy body. Plenty of spastic carbonation can be seen. Pours to a large, bright white, soapy head which mostly dissipates and leaves little lacing.

Smell: Lemon fruit/peel/grass/pith, etc. A hint of hay or grass.

Taste: Stillwater Classique is one of the most unique beers Iíve ever drank. A lot of breweries are doing ale styles as lagers, but this is just the opposite. According to my sources it was modeled after the old ďNational BohemianĒ adjunct lager recipe, but fermented with saison yeast. That makes it difficult to classify, style-wise. Saison? Cream Ale? Specialty Grain? Premium Lager? Beers like this prove that styles really donít matter anymore.

As for the taste, it definitely has a lot of saison-like qualities. Thereís a strong lemony presence from beginning to end, though some of that has to do with the hops Iím sure. Citrusy sweetness and tartness are present right away, immediately followed by a classic saison-like flavor of crushed black pepper seasoning. Mild bitterness towards the end, though itís more of an herb-like seasoning taste. No corn presence in the taste, which is fine by me (a lot of craft breweries use corn in their saisons, actually). Overall, a really interesting palette that could probably be enjoyed by anyone.

Drinkability: Beers of this style (macro lager or traditional farmhouse ale) were always meant for their performance value, and this one continues that trend in two great ways. Firstly, itís ridiculously easy to drink as the mouthfeel is thin and crisp, but never watery. Itís genuinely refreshing while in the mouth and leaves just a slightly dry aftertaste. Secondly, this beer is only 4.5% ABV, but has the flavor of a much stronger beer. Itís difficult for me to find a beer this light in weight that doesnít grow old quickly, but in the case of Stillwater Classique I would want to bring a lot of it on an outing.

Pale gold, beautiful white head. Aroma is yeast, lemon, and hints of corn and floral hops. Tastes like a much smoother, rounder pilsener with yeast and lemony flavors. Smooth and tasty but not super exciting.

12 oz can purchased as a single at Wine & Cheese, If You Please? on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The pour is a hazy golden yellow with a rocky one inch egg white head that falls slowly with nice lacing. The aroma is lemon and apple fruit, hay, grass and bready malt. The taste is a pleasant combination of the fruit soft sweet notes, along with the general hay bread malt. There is an interesting tang to the finish which also dried it out considerably. The palate is light to medium bodied, active carbonation and the clean dry finish. Interesting beer, quite easy to drink.

I would not have guessed this is a corn based beer. I got some grassy notes and some faint tangy notes, but no corn. I even got a little bit of lightly fruity flavors. Tasty, regardless.

Tasted from draft. Pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma is belgian yeast and spicey funkiness. Some grains and grass notes. Flavor is similar to aroma. Very smooth and clean. Nice funky belgian spices and yeast flavors with banana, lemon and grains. Medium bodied. Sessionable summer beer. Pretty good saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium fizzy white head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, pine and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, piney hops and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity yeast and floral hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

(can - 12 oz) Orange pour with a white head. Spicy and peppery hop aroma. Very floral and peppery hops at the start but then turns slightly sweet and tangy from what tastes like some Belgian yeast. Lightly spiced and bitter at the finish.

Can pour. Pours a hazy yellow with a cloudy white head to it. Fruity aroma. Flavor is light citrus fruit flavors with a little pepper spice to it. Fruit and spice flavor finish. Solid beer overall. Enjoyed this one.
