Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is lovely - soft and spicy with a lean malt dryness. A bit of peppery character and a bit of light fruitiness. Zesty and a bit flinty. Nice and dry with some lingering bitterness.

Sweet hay, spice in the aroma. Pours a straw yellow with a bubbly white head and decent lacing. Cream light bodied with a touch of sweetness.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2013 Can. I like Stillwater’s beers and had a feeling what I was getting into when I saw the yellow cans. It drinks kinda like a slightly funky domestic grocery store beer. Not bad but far from a favorite.

Poured from a can with a huge thick foamy head. The aroma is fantastic. The flavor is slightly sour/tart and very light with a mildly bitter finish. It’s a pretty good session beer.

Slightly cloudy golden coloured body with a rich, dense, three to four centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of very light hops, hay, grass, herbs and a bit of sugar. Light-bodied; Sharp light malt flavour with cardboard and grain with very little else on the body, just a big dose of strong hops, hay, grass and a bit of wheat. Aftertaste shows just the hops, grass and hay with a touch of sugar at the tail end. Overall, a very interesting beer - smells great, and the first few tastes are good, but then you realise there is no body and no depth at all. Still, not a bad beer, but just not amazing - great to sample and neat to try this based on the malt profile. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon (not even local to me/brewery) on 27-September-2013 for US$2.38 sampled at home in Washington on 07-October-2013.

Can. Pours a cloudy light yellow with a white head. Dandelion, citrus, pepper and corn. Apparently my tastes are different than most of the other reviewers as this just doesn’t taste all that great to me. It’s OK, easy to drink and not terrible like some of the other lower ABV brews out there but your grandfather can keep this one.

Can at a tailg8. Peppery nose. Some citrus notes. Taste is similar. Rye like character in the beer. Spicey. Moderately carbonated. Refreshing. ---Rated via intercellular device

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is Stillwater yeast, corn, and hops. Taste is like a light saison or Belgian ale with a nice hoppy tinge. The yeast does a lot of the work and makes this beer what it is. Easy to drink. Refreshing. Quite good.

12-oz can. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a loose sudsy whitish head. Nose comes on like a saison for sure, with mild candied lemon notes hidden in sweet grass. Creamy medium body with very lively carb. Corn, grass, and sweet cream mid palate. Unlike those other beers, and the better for it.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 Rating #1900: can from Proof. Yellow pour with visible carbonation, a huge bright white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is pleasant yeast, grain, musty lemon/citrus, pepper. Tastes are straw, pepper, grass, herbal, tropical citrus. Slightly dry moderately bitter finish. Drinkable. Nice that it’s in 6 packs -- good alternative to our typical ipa sixers.
