Draft at Jimmy 43 with Andrew and Brendan. Pours a nice, hazy body with thick white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is wheat, lemon, spice and light grass. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of spice and wheat dominating - a touch too spicy for my personal preference, but overall balanced and nice.

Can. Hazy blond with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is strong floral hops, sweet malt, soft corn notes, light grains and herbal hops. Taste reinforces the floral hops along with more herbal hops, soft citrus, corn notes, sweet malt, grains and sourdough bread notes. Body is light-medium with a bubbly carbonation and lingering hop bitterness. Ends with big floral hops, citrus, herbal hops, earthy notes, corn, sweet malt, bread dough and grains.

I would not have guessed this is a corn based beer. I got some grassy notes and some faint tangy notes, but no corn. I even got a little bit of lightly fruity flavors. Tasty, regardless.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can: The aroma is rather light and consists of light fruit, grass, and lemon peel. It pours a hazy dull yellow with a three finger soapy head that has pretty good retention before fading to a very thin ring. There’s a good amount of clumpy lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a slight hint of citrus with some faint bready notes. The finish has light grass with a touch of lemon peel. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, an okay summer thirst quencher. Why is this listed as Specialty Grain?

On tap at Pizzeria Paradiso in Old Town during the Stillwater tap takeover event. Pours a somewhat cloudy pale yellow color. Nice nose with a bit of corn and wheat alongside a mild take of saison spice. Floral, spicy, hay. Flavor is similar with a smooth bitterness. Tastes like young Premium. Really nice and will be an amazing warm weather beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can - hazy gold - fluffy, well-retained head - I assume this is the same as Premium, minus the brett/bugs - nice, crisp, dry aroma, with floral American hops, moderate flint/mineral, mild peppery phenolics, light pils malt sweetness - soft carbonation - the slightest sweetness up front makes way a very crisp, dry beer, with a nice closing mineral bite - moderate bitterness, straw/hay, very subdued phenols - crisp, crackery, lightly peppery finish that leaves you thirsting for another sip - could easily be classified as a Belgian ale - a very nice session ale - I just wish it weren’t close to 12 bucks a six pack, otherwise it would be a go-to Belgian session for me - this is somewhat what I was hoping Victory Swing was going to be like.
