4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark brown near black body with a ring of head. Smells incredible- some smokiness, nuts and chocolate. Pretty rich overall. Sticky palate with lots of roast flavour. Smokiness is again apparent. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at PSBH, Manchester. Black, as expected, with a light brown head. The first thing to jump out is a smoky bacon influence, which is then joined by notes of coffee and molasses. It’s all carried through an oily, nearly chewy, mouthfeel which is a great conduit for the flavours. Excellent stout.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours almost jet black with a creamy tanned head. Smell of roasted malts, caramel, some fruity esters, coffee and mocca. Moderate sweet, roasty, dark malts, chocolate and coffee, some milky flavors, fruity tones, dried frutis. Nice complexity, moderate bitter finish with earthy tones and ash. After some sips i find hints of chili and smoke. Very nice

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 14C. Black with a tan head that fades to a coat quickly but never quite disappears. Earthy aroma with dark berries and grapes, roasted barley, some Coke. Taste is much sweeter than expected and while it’s not heavy it is insistently mouthfilling. Roasted and earthy flavours, some chocolate, star anise and pepper, some brine, dark berries/ wine. Lowish carbonation about right where I like. Interesting and good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A nearly opaque black pour with a big tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves good lacing. Aroma is dark fruit forward with figs and plums along with hints of chocolate, coffee and savoriness. Taste has dark fruit and some molasses sweetness. Mid palate there is a grainy roastiness, some dark chocolate, mild coffee and a hint of smoke and earthiness. Finishes with a little sweetness and roasty bitter. Lighter bodied than most stouts with a crisp and higher carbonation also. Big flavorful stout with nicely integrated flavors and mild sweetness that is a compliment to the darker flavors.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque dark brown, thick tan head cover, streaks of lace. Aroma is musty closet and dark malt, somehow appealing. Taste is rich roasted malt with overtones of dark chocolate and coffee. It builds through a solid palate, adding yeast and burnt toast and earth, finally deciding there is enough bitter to balance and letting that linger in a prolonged finish. A really solid stout. Highly recommended.
