Human history is filled with myths and legends that shape and define our culture. Rituals, celebrations, gatherings.. whatever. One thing that’s for sure, is we enjoy a proper shindig. So let’s get the stories flowing and share a little ’Folklore’. A bracingly deep ale, built dark and rich with an elegantly lean body, accompanied by heady aromas of Belgian yeast, earthy hops and gently kissed by a wisp of smoke.

Bomber. Pours near black with a chocolate brown head; foamy and lasting. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, fruit, yeast and coffee. Flavor is sweet caramel, fruit, chocolate, semi-bitter roasted malts and coffee with underlying yeast notes. Medium bodied.

Mon petit plaisir.

0.355l bottle. It has a deep and dark brown pour this one and only a small kinda dark grey / beige head. It has both dark fruit sweetness and roasted tones on the nose. Kinda sweetish at first. Gets darker and more roasted after a while in the glass. Some chocolate and traces of coffee. Dark chocolate biscuits. Smells nice. It has a nice roasted taste with a fair amount of dark berries and candied sugar sweetness. The dark kind. It has a oily feeling in the mouth and it’s about average on the small prickling bubbles. Definitely not extreme roasted, but it has some darkness. Sweetish with a little alco burn in the aftertaste. It’s not anything special going on here, but it’s a well crafted beer that I’d have no problems drinking again. A bit sweet though? Nah, it’s definitely a nice one this . 08.06.2014

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted dark malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth dry texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Color negro ,espuma beige. Aromas de regaliz, azúcar moreno, frutos rojos y café. Cuerpo medio, inicio dulce de regaliz y azúcar moreno, ligero sabor de chocolate y final de amargor moderado y tostado. Muy rica.

Bottle; bomber at home. This one gushed all over the place in the kitchen. EVERYWHERE. This is super-infected; sour lactose and nail vanish. Very rough mouth-feel. Chocolate and booze is there; I think the base beer non-infected would be nice but it’s just really missing the spot for me. Feel like a twat for reviewing it but I thought the brewery should know that this has happened.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Much thinner palate than expected but pretty tasty. The belgian yeast gives it a unique flavor along with notes of coffee and smoke.

December 9, 2014 - bottle from Wine and Cheese. Very dark brown pour with nice amount of head that faded somewhat quickly. Aroma was roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and some alcohol. Taste was consistent with the aroma, but more of a dark chocolate and coffee mix. Had a nice amount of sweetness that was slightly dry and finished with a hint of alcohol. The body was thinner than I expected, but drank smoothly.

Bottle from Wine Emporium 031214. One of the best stouts that I have had in a long time. Super dark and super tasty. Fills the nose with rich and slightly bitter aromas. Full n the mouth with an aftertaste that goes on and on. A beer to savour.

Muddy black color with cocoa head. Sweet roasty grain nose, with perhaps a touch of hay. This beer does indeed conjure up some essence of the Olde Worlde in the ever so slightly mysterious, yet indescribably familiar bouquet subtext. Perhaps its the infringement of chocolate and anise, and perhaps event a soupcon of molasses. Sweet chocolate body with doses of milk chocolate, anise, and hay. Cacao nibs and roasty, fresh milled roast barley finish.

Thick black pour with a dissipating dark brown head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is toasty malt, a little funk, cherries, dark chocolate, and plums. Nice warm presence of alcohol. It's sweet and bracing, with an excellent coffee finish that displays traditional stout flavors. This stout has many elements and really unfolds long after the first sip ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
