Cask with Citra and Summit (10/9/11): Pours a hazy deep amber with a full-lacing froth of pillowy white head. Has a big fresh resiny hop nose with a soft biscuity pale malty sweetness. Starts with good fullness and light sweetness with a biscuity complexity and lots of fresh resiny grapefruity hops. Extremely smooth, flavorful and drinkable.

Hazy pale amber. A dry zesty wood to the nose a little herbal sage. crisp tight carbonation. Very dry and woody but in a beautifully light, un-musky vanilla style. Hints of orange peel. almost soda watery carb. cedar baby

On tap at Max’s during today’s Stillwater event. The event page says this beer is wet hopped, dry hopped, and aged on Cedar planks. Served in a cervoise. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-straw color with a very short white head and no real lacing or anything else on the way down. The nose brings bright, fresh Citra hops with a bit of that fresh-hop "green" character. Faint earth and a bit of wheat. Light spice. The flavor really hits the perfect level of Citra hops and adds a bit of wheat and white pepper. Good bitterness and a dry finish. Light body. Simply excellent.

On tap at Max’s, Baltimore. Cloudy orange pour, with a rocky beige head that juts in pleasantly awkward directions. Nose is not as pungent and floral as some wet hop ales, more crisp and bitter with a good deal of spice and modest fruit. Lively mouthfeel brings out the bouquet a bit, and as you taste it the wood and hops come alive big time. Bold but not overly assertive, and it manages to be bright and lively despite the prominent wood notes. Well done.

Fairly hoppy aroma. Flavor is hop forward, especially for a saison, but they aren’t too overwhelming. Considerable yeast and spice notes to remind you what it is, but the hops do linger quite a bit, but again, not so strong that I found them off-putting. Crisp slightly boozy finish.

Cloudy golden yellow with a nice white head, nice lacing... belgian yeasty, what i keep calling eggy aroma under layers of grassy hops and citrusy hops... distinct belgian yeast dominates layers of hops and spice, notes of bubblegum which i dont love... medium bodied, not very lively at all past the initial sip... lightly oily finish...

Pours an opaque pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma has some spice, mild leathery notes, subtle citrus...orange. flavor has a bit more spice...clove, some yeasty notes, and citrus...hint of leather. Mouthfeel is light and lively and the finish is dry and spicy...clovey.

Draught at TND: Aroma of hops, citra, citrus, fruit, pineapple, Belgian yeast, and grapefruit. Poured amber/gold in color with a small, off-white head that disappeared. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, citrus, Citra, malt, light Belgian yeast, and slight resin. Light to medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, medium bitter, hops, citrus, citra, light Belgian yeast finish. 7.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.
