3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to Armin for bringing the bottle! Poured fairly clear (at least initially) medium orange, with fine sediment suspended in there.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up a whole lot of flowers.. lavender and dandelion led, with grassy notes behind.. softer bready and pale malts behind.. remarkably fragrant, and it gets bonus points for jamming so many flowers in there. The flavor found a little more candied honey and pale malt impression (the candied part was fleeting), with just about as many flowers as the nose indicated around (again I got more lavender and dandelion, but also some heather joined in).. well-balanced on the finish, and very tasty. Light-medium bodied and a little slick on the palate.. tacky sweetness toward the back.. the floral notes starred, and made this a very enjoyable beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. It pours a slightly unclear golden-orange body and a finger-thick, dense, off-white head. The aroma is sort of soapy, with pale malts, some lemon and flowers. The flavor is a bit too flowery for me, but quite pleasant anyway. White sugar and pale malts too. Medium to full body, effervescent. The finish is fruity and sugary, with a herbal, flowery touch. More flowery than I like them this one, but quite tasteful anyway. 110416

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on 4/10/11 from a 330mL bottle at Lush West Town. Pours cloudy light orange with a thick off-white head that recedes to thin but even lace. The nose is classic saison with spicy yeast, candi sugar, biscuit, and tons of lemon peel. The flavor is the same with lemon and nutmeg up front, moving to light sweetness and some herbal bitterness. The body is light with average carbonation and a long herbal and lemon finish.
