3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lovely orange-brown with lace. Wheaty, saison yeast, spicy, some caramel, grass. A touch of cola. Nicely spicy yeast, caramel, dark malts, nice malts. Clean and dry. Very nice amber saison. Floral, but donít especially get rose or jasmine. OK, maybe a bit of jasmine.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Una vera belgian strong ale di classe, dal carattere dolce ben bilanciato, con note floreali e speziate intense e conturbanti. Líalcol si insinua solo lievemente, ma non disturba. Ottima!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Floral aroma with some peppery spices. Surprisingly sweet, with a honey-like essence. Finishes and drinks a bit heavy.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Brownish pour, not much head. Smells of roses, spring blossoming flowers, and a bit of grain. Very smooth and velvety in the mouth, the wet malts bring up squishy stepped on darker fruits in the front and itís all jasmine and violent in the finish, with hints of rose petals on the lingering side. Good stuff! Bonus points for the trifecta of rose, violet, and jasmine!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Moderate roasted, nutty and and milk chocolate for the malt, light herbs for the hops, moderate to heavy dough for the yeast, with background notes of fig, date, toffee and brown sugar. Head is tiny, wispy, with a spot or two of lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color is murky medium brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy verging on syrupy and an almost flat carbonation. Very tasty Belgian Strong Ale, but I guess this went a little flat in the bottle Would have been a much better beer with so much as a soft carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours cloudy amber with a small tan head. The aroma has lots of toffee and brown sugar up front. There is also earthy Belgian yeast, chestnuts and rich malt. I donít noticed the floral items listed on the nose. It has a medium / full body that is rich and smooth with very soft gentle carbonation. The flavor begins with rich maltiness and Belgian notes from the aroma. A bit of the rose shows to smooth things out. The finish has some spice and gentle floral aspects. There is a mineral aspect as well. It hides the alcohol quite well. Good beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium ruddy brown pour with a thin beige head. aroma is sort of all over the place, lots of sweet floral and tree fruit, toasty, chocolate, pale toffee, malted milk, honey, sweet nectarine/plum, light caramel and a bit of hearty granola and cereal grain. Flavor is similarly crazy, lots of sweet toffee and malt, YooHoo chocolate, toffee and caramel, more nectarine and plum, with a slightly more tart and earthy apricot/tart peach, black pepper, and a sort of old lady perfume meets peppercorn and seedy berry finish. The mouthfeel is weird, medium body with a slick but sticky creaminess that is somewhere between a mouthful of blood, a sweet red wine and a barely carbonated Barley Wine. All weirdness aside, I enjoyed this beer well enough, not worth the price everyday, (I think $7.99/375ml) but definitely an interesting enough random assortment of sensations to warrant a one time purchase for me. Kinda looks like movie prop poo water, though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Listed on the label as 9.0% rather than 10.0%
Pours the cloudy brown of unfiltered cider with almost no head whatsoever. Sour wheaty nose, some perfume but I donít get the complexity lauded in the commercial description. Given the aroma, the beer is remarkably sweet in taste, warm malts atop mulled plum wine (OK, Iím totally bs-ing there but it sounds good). Raisins and spice. Characteristic Stillwater metallic close. Full body, some alcohol heat late. Far from a drainpour, but Iím just not all that impressed with this one.
