Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, fresh wood, light industrial sweet pear. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, candy, caramel, dry, banana - fruity sweet, sweet burnt caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110410]

33 cL bottle at ACBF2011. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramelish and slight butterish. Light spiced, thick caramelish and somewhat butterish. Ends roasted malty and light caramelish sweet.

Draft. An red-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel B the aroma is very light. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, caramel, pepper, and other spices, leading to a dry spicy finish.

On tap. Hazy and slightly muddy brown with a small off-white head. The nose is rich in intense Belgian yeast, dark fruits, brown sugar and friendly phenols. Solid body, dried fruit, brown sugar and a little yeast. A good hoppiness in the finish rounds this off and creates a superb balance. A very complex and interesting beer, to me it comes out as a Quad, a hoppy Quad. Kudos Brian and Urbain. 140311

Bottle at ACBF 2011. Hazy red brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel, dried fruits, butterscotsch and marzipan. Sweet flavour of caramel, dried fruits and marzipan with notes of hops. Sweet and hoppy finish.

Bottled. Hazy mahogany colour, rich head. Aroma of milkk chocolate and marzipan. Fairly sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Milk chocolalte withe some raspberry esters. Mid bitter finish with mild brandy warmth. Flavourful, yet drinkable. Complex, but never overpowering.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty bitter aroma. Sweetish malty spicy nutty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty caramel finish.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, June 2011. Pours dark ruby brown with a creamy large head. Nose is yeast, caramel and spices. Flavor is herbs and spices. One dimensional.

Tap @ Fairbar. Medium head with medium duration. Color is hazy brown. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, caramel, alcohol and hops. Sweet finish.

Bottle at ACBF 2011. Unclear dark red/brown - offwhite head. Roasted, light burned, ryebread, peppery, herbal, light nutty, butterish, marzipan. I don’t understand.
