Without bottle dating it’s always a gamble. This pours golden/orange with an off-white smooth head. The aroma has butterscotch, spice, mint, caramel, veggies and bread. It has a medium creamy body with soft carbonation. The taste seems like it is probably old, but not date to verify. It has mushy malts, caramel, spice, thick bread and a spiciness that may be hops, but probably phenolic. The finish has a excessive amount of basement must, dough and cream. I didn’t like this one. I hope at some point I can try a known fresh bottle to see if I just done like the beer or if this is just flawed by age. Hope to rerate at some point.

Pours a hazy orange color with a huge foamy head. Smell is spicy, a bit earthy with some hop notes. Taste is spicy, somewhat bitter, a little salty - it ends slightly bitter and quite dry. Body is light/medium with very active carbonation which is a bit course. Overall it is an interesting beer but doesn’t stand out in taste and the carbonation is a bit bothersome.

Bottle. Pours hazy, bright orange with thick, fizzy white head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is bread and biscuit malt, candi sugar, citrus, belgian yeast, grassy hops, honey, and light spice. Flavor is sweet malts forward with good citrus esters, light hops adding a touch of bitterness, and ending spice; dry, spicy finish with a hint of sweetness. Medium body and low carbonation.

Bottle. The head is airy (big bubbles in it), fluffy and white in color. The beer is a hazy golden. Aroma is sugary and malty, perhaps some spices? Not sure, something else is there; nice overall! Taste is a smooth bitterness and malty sweetness. Carbonation is high and a bit stingy in the mouth. Finish is a mellow sweet and bitter.

The high carbonation was perhaps my biggest problem with this one. But, once I twirled it around a bit, causing the carbonation to diminish, the beer was more drinkable. In the end, I really liked this beer.
