COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with whole juniper bushes, farmhouse ale yeast (brettanomyces) and a touch of smoke. Like a Viking Saison, yeah.

22oz bomber from willblake, love that Jon saw "Viking style saison" and thought of me. Poured a cloudy yellow body with a long lasting average to larger frothy white head. Aroma is smoke, juniper, yeast, Belgian spice. Palate is nice medium, average carbonation, creamy body. Flavor of smoke, juniper, floral, yeast, smoked bread and bubble gum. Interesting and gets better with time.

Radek Kliber (6519) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 5, 2014
Where and how: Bottle at Volo, 650 ml bottle
Aroma funk fruity tartness, vitamin C, red apple. Softer walls. Milder smoky notes behind.
Appearance :
Top: medium rocky top with some rings on glass.
Base: hazy amber.
Palate : smoother front with drier finish.
Taste: frontal mild smoke with farm feel. Organic garden vibe to it with mild tartness. If smoke was more pronounced this could be quiet nice.

Tart, earthy aroma; subtle smoke and juniper. Stronger smoke in the flavor. Earthy; the tartness is there, but it’s more subdued. A little juniper and floral flavor.

Gold, slight haze, off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, smoke, perfume, a little sour lemon. Flavor: some light sweaty funk, smoke, some lemon, not getting much juniper, interesting beer.

Bottle from QFC-U Village.

Hazy straw pour, fluffy white head. Lovely sour woody aroma with prominent brett, hay. Gently sweet, juniper, ginger, more brett funk than sourness but certainly some lemon and grapefruit juices. I’m not getting the smoke that is supposed to be here. I’m not really in the market for 12oz bottles at $9/each, but this one seemed interesting enough to make an exception. And interesting it is.

Cloudy dark golden color. Unique aroma and taste with smoke and sour standing out. $5.99/22 ounce seemed reasonable.

22 oz bottle, my bottle says nothing about import series vol 5, all it says is Scandinavian Style Farmhouse ale with no description, assuming this is the right one- Pours hazy light golden with a thin white head that reduces. Aroma is brett off the bat, very funky and barnyard, citrusy. The taste is brett, but with some spices, juniper is definitely there, want to say sage, but that is probably the juniper bush, it actually tastes like a dried up sage and or juniper bush i would imagine would taste like, the touch of smoke adds a ashy finish to the beer. Different and good, never heard of using a whole bush to brew beer, i wonder if they broke it up at all or just threw full bushes in the boil?

Very mild gusher when being opened. Low carbonation, medium body. Aroma of leather, gauze, tarp, quite funky. Funky, though not overly sour, with notes of leather, overripe fruit, and a bit of smoke.
