Brewed with whole juniper bushes, farmhouse ale yeast (brettanomyces) and a touch of smoke. Like a Viking Saison, yeah.

Botella, bought @ the brewery in Sep. ’11. Hazy golden like, white head, medium, lively. Pleasant bit smoky malty spiced fruity aroma. Good mouthfeel. Mild smoked flavour with spice, fruit and malt., some sweetness.

500 ml bottle. Golden body with a big, creamy white heat, heavy carbonation. Aroma is light malty with fruity spices. Mild but incredible nice aroma. Flavor is fruity, soft malty, spicy and gives a farmhouse impression. A nice touch of Brett. Delicious.

500 mL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a huge, foamy, white head. The aroma is strong citrus and wheat, with a lot of brett funk, barnyard must, and just a touch of oak and smoke. The flavor is very sweet, with a lot of sourness and funk in the middle. The finish is mildly smoky and dry. The palate is light to medium, lively and effervescent, acidic, and smooth. Overall, this is a light and drinkable beer, but very complex and delicious. Nicely done.

Pours a smokey dirty yellow.... A little akin to a trucker bomb. Smells heavily of ginger and nutmeg. Interesting flavor of orchard apple, some pear... Very different. In a good way. Very clean and crisp.. A bit sharp. Well done.

Bottle shared with coyotehunter. Pours a hazy straw color with a massive head and aromas of lemon, a light funk, juniper and ginger. Flavor is a lovely and light mix of these with a nice honey sweetness and chamomile herbal presence. Very nice beer. I would have thought a Viking saison to be a little meaner.

Bottle. Pours golden with a huge white head. Aroma of fruitiness, spices, floral hops, some brett and green apples. Flavor is sweet and somewhat funky with some fruitiness and spices. Medium body, average carbonation. Dry finish.

On tap at Max’s during today’s Stillwater event. Served in a cervoise. Saison brewed with juniper. Pours a nice golden color with a good white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose brings a bit of juniper along with a nice earthy presence. Light wheat and a bit of bubble gum and clove. The flavor is mildly spicy with light clove and a bit of earth. Light juniper and a background of wheat. Light-medium body with a touch of alcohol. Slight bitterness to the finish. Really nice.

500ml bottle pours cloudy medium yellow with a thick pillow of white foam perched on top. It is a beautiful beer to behold. Aromas are funk and lemon, with a slight bit of smoke. Taste is barnyard, yeasty, a bit of spice, some lemon, and something else earthy that I cannot describe. Body is medium and a bit chewy, with heavy carbonation. Overall, this is a delicious brew. Another winner by Brian, thanks for this one.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 01/20/2012. The beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, grain and malt. Medium body with a brett yeast character and notes of fruit, grain and juniper in the background. The finish is slightly funky with a mildly floral aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pours heavily carbonated gold with 1-finger clingy white head. Nose is funky rock sugary malt, hops, dry citrus. Tastes floral, hopcitric, with funky semi-sweet fruity malt notes, and a complex finish. This one is great.
