Stout fermented 100% with brett and aged 6 months in Brunello Barrels.

500ml bottle. Clear deep reddish darkest brown with average, frothy to creamy, well lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with dry, tannic, red wine notes in the background, minimally tart, bretty overtones. Taste is dark malty with a fruity touch of cherries, dry, minimally tannic, sourish to tart, minimally bretty, hints of red wine in the finish. Slightly unbalanced, too sour for a Stout, dark malt is mostly hidden.

On tap at CBC, London. It pours a very dark brown almost black colour with a one finger beige head. Aroma is a perfect mix of brett, red wine and dark fruits. Band-aid and port characteristics. Taste is same mix of notes with little bitterness, figs, brett and port wine. Brett and red wine flavours tend to dominate. Mouthfeel is silky with good carbonation. Overall, fantastic beer with lots of complexity and balance.

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a light tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is brett, vinous, and just a hint of roasted malt. Flavour is brett, vinous, dark fruits, and a little roasted malt - with a tart finish.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. has a fruity malty spicy bretty woody red wine aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty bretty tart woody red wine flavor. Has a fruity malty woody red wine finish.

Bottle. An almost opaque black beer, with an average sized, frothy, lightly lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. The aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, caramel, hint of chocolate/coffee), moderately yeasty (barnyard, horse), with notes of red wine/Brunello, cherries, apple, wood/oak, berries, hint of alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, average/lively carbonation, semi-dry long finish with moderate bitterness, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Interesting experiment, with a lot of red wine and almost not stouty at all, almost undefinable style. Suggested.

Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is fruity, cellar, sour, vinous, berries, roasted malt. Flavour is vinous, roasted, sour, berries and dry. Presence of brett is rather obvious. What a strange stout. Somewhat low carbonation. This is very close to being a dark sour/wild ale.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, grapes, malt, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, malt, caramel, and fruits, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a deep dark brown with a reddish hue and a rough, beige head. Thick Brett aroma, quite some barnyard - and very little roast. Medium body, tart and woody with great Brett accents. Very little Stout character left, but quite a wonderful beer. 110113
