Tap at Mikkeller and friends. Black with a huge and dense Brown head. Aroma is dominated by brett, with some notes of fruit and herbs. The Brett is all over the flavor aswell, the stout character comes through in the finish. Roasted bitterness and coffee. Along with this is an acidic side note leading my thoughts towards Wild fermentation. Crazy beer, but not my style

Leicht säuerlicher Malzantrunk mit deutlichen Noten der Fasslagerung. Intensiv malzig, die Säuerlichkeit ist aber intensiver. Rund, wenig alkoholisch. Trockener Abgang mit weinartigen Aromen. 9/11/11/12/10//10

pours darkest brown/black with a beige sml-med head. smells.. brett yeast, floral dark fruit and red wine. tastes..fruits dark and citrus, malts and red wine. some sours, really balanced with the malts. very nice.

Bottle courtesy of Dan. Pours a slightly reddish deep brown with a little head. Aroma is great - Orval-esque bretty fun, a little Rodenbach too, red berries, tart cherries and raspberries, some blackberries and red wine. Touches of chocolate, too. Taste is cracking too: tart berries, red wine, a little vanilla/oak, milk, some balsamic and a roast malt character too. Sour, dry, lingering tartness. Very nice indeed, I really like this one.

Bottle at home. Deep reddish brown, thick beige bubbly head with good lacing. Big woody brett, tart cherries, definite sourness, soft oaky vinous spice on the nose. Surprisingly dry, predominant flavours of oak, vinous cherry fruits, tart berry and a pretty austere roast backbone. Medium body, pretty well-carbonated. Lightly tart, lightly bitter on the finish. Dry, interesting, not what I was expecting!

Bouteille 500ml. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de levures sauvages légèrement fruitées et aigres (cerises sûres, pommes vertes, raisins vineux), moyen de malt rôti, moyennement boisé (fût de chêne vineux, bois humide) avec des notes de chocolat noir et de houblon herbeux. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement crémeuse et aux notes vineuses. Goût de levures fruitées sauvages légèrement aigres/acides (cerises sûres, léger de raisins vineux, notes de pommes vertes) avec un goût boisé (fût de chêne vineux, présent en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de malt rôti doux avec un très léger goût de chocolat noir ainsi que des traces de pain grillé puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux appuyé par des notes d’alcool vineux. Post-goût moyen-long et aux notes sèches, légèrement aigre de levures fruitées sauvages (moût de cerises sûres et de raisins) avec une légère amertume de rôti, un léger goût boisé (fût vineux) ainsi que quelques notes d’alcool vineux et de chocolat. (Wild Dark Ale?)

Davros (2027) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2013
Pours black with a tan head. Lots of funky brett on the nose along with some roasted malt and cocoa. The red wine is subtle. A little oak presents itself. Same story in regards to flavours. Funky brett, a fair bit of roast, some acidity and booze. Pretty moreish stuff. I’d like more malt sweetness though.

Bottle shared with the RB crew at Torst. Pours a deep brownish black body with no head, thin lacing. Aroma is wine, oak, roast and light tartness. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of red wine, lots of tannins, wood, sour dark fruit and roast. Good stout.

Draft at Torst shared with RB gang. Pours black with small head. Aroma is both sour and tart with some roasted notes. Taste is more sour than stout with noticable notes of red wine tannins and some coffee and chocolate. Really enjoyable.

50c bottle, BBE 2018, says the label. Poured black with a brown, lacing head. Aroma is sour, bretta noticeable, roasted malt and grapes. Lovely. Flavor has bretta more evident, red wine like notes, wood, grapes, cocoa and roasted malt. hoppy, dry finish, quite tart/sour with grapes. One of the more complex beers I have had in a while. Full bodied. Very tasty!
