50 cl. bottle split with Marko as his 3500th rating @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Crazy ugly label both drawing as well as colour design, the whole deal. Pours black with little and disappearing beige head. Nose is very heavy on the typical standard USA brett – still baffled by the fact that sour beers have become so homogonous – mixed some yoghurt lactic sour wine, quite a standard USA profile, sour malts, tannins and sticky sweet red wine – apparently Brunello. Taste carries trough similar, very heavy, lots of USA-style Brett in here, strongly yoghurt lactic red wine, sour thicker malts, barrel, sourness has been upped as is customary, light roast, citrus sourness,… Oddly fuller brett body as usual. Good but I am still expecting sours to be unique brews – probably shouldn’t have started out with lambic’s – my bad.

Bottle shared with 77ships. Yay, my 3500! Poured a black body with an off white head. Raisins, sticky maltiness, obvious notes of the barrel involved. Brett shows up in the taste, funky sourness, but the malty presence and the raisins are still there. Slightly vinuous, you can tell that it was aged again. Still, somewhat straightforward... in the end, quite nice!

Large tan head dark pour aromas funky barnyard notes red wine influence strong caramel coffee dark fruit liquorice the flavours rich dark chocolate and coffee bean red wine nicely done sourness barnyard like taste smoothness liquorice dark fruit wine mixes so well sourness and bitter mix a dried fruit taste best aftertastes sour bitter the red wine and fruit mix malt sweetness dry finish flavours grow on you

Pours a black colour with a small white head. Aroma is strong with red wine notes, oak and dark chocolate. Flavour is very rich and big with roasted malts, red wine, tangy citrus, oak, cherries, dark chocolate, berries and tannine. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a long, vinous, quite complex finish. For a stout this is quite unique.

Bottle from Slowbeer. Unconventional stout. Aromas of green apple, caramel, chocolate. Taste is sweet and sour, with long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy head.

Medium cream-brown head over brown to black beer with faint ruby highlights. Outspoken heavy red wine and Brett-infested oak vat nose - but gorgeous. Faraway roasted/burnt notes. Lactic acid and red fruit - pretty superb. Vinous, but predominantly stout-ous taste, with bitter, harsh wood-aldehyde-solvent-burnt flavours. Some red fruit all the same - as sourcherries forgotten in a bottom of old beer in an old barrel. Quite slick, but sharp at the same time - again the impression of aldehyde/solvent/ketone. Astringent, and quite carbonated feel. Smells fantastic, tastes overripe. Remind me not to buy fragrance from a Rom...

The nose has a sour winey aroma that reminds me of Flemish red, The taste has a winey body with a chocolate note on the end.
