3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Vells (257) - LATVIA - MAY 18, 2013
Clear deep dark brown, almost black with medium to thin brownish stable head. Lacing nicely.
Aroma.. roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits, red wine, wood
Sweet sourish, decent bitterness. Quite dry.
Its good quality, nicely balanced and very drinkable, thou red wine note for me is not very pleasant.
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beersiveknown (1622) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 15, 2013
Bottle at home from drinkstore
Dark brown black with fluffy tan head. Tart, sour cherries, tonic water, burnt toast, vanilla and touch of soy sauce. Full bodied, light carbonation, initial sour hit, dry roast barley, tart red fruit, slightly vegetal. Sourness takes some getting used to then manure/ rotting hay of Brett appears. V interesting and complex but the taste too abrasive to enjoy.

bottle by travlr, thnx dude ! big surprise when i opened my fridge :p
pours black, white fast fading foam .
wine is pretty dominant in the smell, as well as the oak, but not overkill . sour touch as well
taste definetly has that sour-touch. dont think of a geuze, though!
not realy thick. wine character is definetly there . i get a bit of that burnt malt in the aftertaste, if i realy focus on it ..
its, ok, but not what i expect from a stout ... than again, this is aged on wine barreld, so if you like that, you shall like this one

50 cl.

On tap. Pours deep brown with a medium sized, off-white head. Aroma of brett, dark malt, caramel, vanilla, wood and plum + red berries. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry with some bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft CO2. A nice one. ★★★★
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Uhlen (173) - Trondheim, NORWAY - APR 5, 2013
Black liquid with a huge tan head. Aroma is fruity and sour. Brettanomyces you said? Took me by suprise actually. Taste is also brett-dominated at first. While the roasty flavours comes out towards the finish. Intense chocolate in the aftertaste. Interesting one, that really grew on me from sip to sip.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Adenila (1543) - DENMARK - APR 5, 2013
Tap at Mikkeller and friends. Black with a huge and dense Brown head. Aroma is dominated by brett, with some notes of fruit and herbs. The Brett is all over the flavor aswell, the stout character comes through in the finish. Roasted bitterness and coffee. Along with this is an acidic side note leading my thoughts towards Wild fermentation. Crazy beer, but not my style
