Scopey (12504) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2012
Keg at Fanø Meet the Brewer, King William IV. It pours very dark brown, with a thin off-white head. The nose is sticky dark fruit (cherry, plum, blackcurrant and such like), roasted malt, some tanginess, coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is tangy dark fruit; plum, raisin, grape, cherry, port/vinous, light sourness, roasted malt, coffee, charcoal, touch of balsamic vinegar and salted liquorice, with some alcohol warmth in the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Good balance, interesting and pretty damn flavoursome.

bierkoning (12350) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2013
Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Roast, caramel and some vinous notes in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. Prominent vinous flavor, slightly oaky, overpowering other flavors, like hints of roast and caramel. Some soft acidic notes. Tannines. Very nice brew.

thewolf (12078) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2012
Tap @ Dronning Louise, Esbjerg.
Pours almost completely black with a small, creamy, beige film head. Aroma has funk, chocolate, plums, apple. Medium carbonation, dry and somewhat light mouthfeel. Flavour is funky, oaky, roasted malts, mild chocolate, overripe plum. Rather dy and mildly tart finish. Not sticking together that well.

Bov (11965) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 19, 2013
from Erzbierschof - dark beer with a poor head retention; shy woody aroma with sourish notes and black chocolate as well; pretty astringent, full-bodied, some sweetness and a long lingering biting sourness, chocolate and prune - complex but with a bit too much wood presence
