Bottle at home from drinkstore
Dark brown black with fluffy tan head. Tart, sour cherries, tonic water, burnt toast, vanilla and touch of soy sauce. Full bodied, light carbonation, initial sour hit, dry roast barley, tart red fruit, slightly vegetal. Sourness takes some getting used to then manure/ rotting hay of Brett appears. V interesting and complex but the taste too abrasive to enjoy.

50cl bottle at Probus Wines, Dublin. Near-black pour with thin tan head and plenty of lacing. The aroma gives a huge hit of Brett - funky and pungent - as well as some hints of roasted malt and light vinous notes. Taste is again dominated by the Brett - plenty of tart, almost-cheesy fruitiness. Dark roast coffee and dark chocolate emerge from under the heavy blanket of wild yeastiness, as does a tiny bit of tannic red wine flavour. Surprisingly light bodied and easy drinking. I’m a big Brett fan, so I enjoyed this and didn’t mind that the yeast dominated. I’ve got another bottle that I’ve stored in better conditions than this one was, so I’ll crack that open soon and rerate - hopefully it’ll give more of the red wine barrel.

From the bottle, at RBAG 2013 in Medicine Hat. Pours out a dark brown-red. Thin ring of foam in the glass and good looking spotty lacing left behind. Nose has dark caramel, chocolate and some sourness. In the mouth some dark malt/chocolate comes out, red wine, sourness. Cocoa and roast and earth in the finish with some toasty notes, a bit of liquorice. Interesting concept and quite well done.

Draught at Delirium Loft Brussels. Acidic, lactic nose, vinegar, chocolate, cherries. Great, complex nose. Pitch black with a super fine tan head. Flavors of chocolate, wood, vinegar, yogurt. Very tangy, lots of chocolate. Good, not completely exciting, but good.

A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, grapes, malt, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, malt, caramel, and fruits, leading to a tart finish.

August 19, 2012 - on draught at King William IV Witterfest. Opaque black, minimal off-white fizzy head. Smells ... sour; fruity lemon funk, background roasty grain sweetness in behind... not all that stout-y, more like a funky cherry-ish beer with background moderate roast - stout? really? okay - but it IS sour. Taste - weird, like a black IPA with sour fruit and brett wildness (I sure hope they gave me the correct beer). Sticky, slick, lively, long acidic dry finish .... good. No matter WHAT beer it may have been.
