Mikkel and Brian are two of the world’s most unconventional brewers. By designing beers at various breweries around the globe, they have found the freedom to experiment and innovate, resulting in unique beers that often blur the lines of definition. After having met at a festival in Bodegraven, NL the two realized that their first creations both were called Stateside. It was then an obvious decision to make the two recipes into a new product, packed full of piney, resinous hops, and backed by the esters of a farmhouse yeast strain.

"this ipa/saison turned out to be pretty interesting. the flavor was more hoppy than the aroma, and covered up a lot of steside saisons characteristics. that’s bad for the flavor, good for the mouthfeel. aroma a nice but subdued mix of hoppiness and barnyard. Interesting, but probably a one timer."

rec’d in trade and aged (accidentally for a year +) GREAT beer. cloudy golden pour. Aroma was of citrus, spice, some resin?, nice palate. Taste was very complex and it all worked well - some citrus but also peaches and other fruits, multiple layers during sips - yeast, citrus/resin hops and spices toward end of sip. NICE beer and thanks to whomever sent this...

750 ml bottle. Pours clear dark orange with a small fuzzy fizzly dark white simmering head. Aroma of carbo acid in the beginning (quite lively bottle as well). Afterwards a spicy, gingerbread alike scent, brown and cane Sugar? Light body, elderberries in the taste. Spicy end, a bit sour and slight alcohol burn... Meh... it’s a bit bland actually, compared to other similar beers.

Bottle to pint glass Apricot, lemon, candy floss, resin, pine, and farmhouse yeast. Clear, slightly hazy amber with a long lasting, but thin frothy off white head. Taste right off is fruity but then the bitter blast comes which lasts and lasts.
