3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle poured into tulip. Pours a nice dark golden/amber with a huge, and I mean huge head. Aroma is of farmhouse yeast and hops which is, as the description on the bottle mentions, on the resinous side. Taste has an good amout of bitterness and is slightly acidic. Body is medium-full with some over average carbonation (this had me burping like crazy...!) Texture is slick, a really nice aspect of this beer. Aftertaste is pretty bitter and long-lasting. Overall a good brew. Aroma is nothing to write home about and in fact the brew as a whole didn?t impress me so much, but maybe it?s because it was a bit overhyped to me when I asked about it where I purchased it. Don?t get me wrong, it is good, but for me it falls into the "tried it, it was good, but won?t buy again" category. EDIT: After reading other?s rating on this one, I wonder if my bottle might have gotten old, as I bought it 6 months ago and it was stored at temperatures reaching 25C last summer...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to pint glass
Apricot, lemon, candy floss, resin, pine, and farmhouse yeast. Clear, slightly hazy amber with a long lasting, but thin frothy off white head. Taste right off is fruity but then the bitter blast comes which lasts and lasts.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice. Bretta and hay with some hops. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Finishes with light, lemony sourness and a touch of peppar. Bretta brilliantly balanced. Bottle thanks to JT. Nice citrus all around. Great collab between two great breweries.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Moderate hay and cereal for the malt, dried grass and lemon for the hops, barnyard and earth for the yeast, with wood, pepper and a hint of clove in the background. Head is large, fizzy/frothy. light beige with darker swirls, with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is murky, medium amber/orange. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation and finishes a bit dry. Not as bitey a flavor as I expected, and very smooth. This Belgian Strong Ale from the first pour to the sedimentary last pour.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Review from backlog, tasted 06/23/2011. Pours opaque, dark orange with huge off-white head, settling into a nice frothy layer with lacing all around. Aroma is yeast, herbal hops which blend into a more piney character, followed by sweet, citric fruits, oranges and lemons. Taste is orange, spices, some farmhouse character, bitter herbal hops and lemon rind, long bitter finish. Body has excessive carbonation, too prickly and rough. Decent.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Poured clear golden with a large white head. Aroma and flavor -- lot going on -- dry, moderately bitter, grassy, herbal, earthy, musty, mildly funky, citrus, spicy, a bit peppery. Quite good. Slightly thick mouthfeel.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bread, with a kick nutmeg. I could go on about this beer for ages but i think a superb, simple would be enough but why not wax a little lyrical about a beer as good as this. So hoppy you would think that you could eat it, so yeasty that you imagine it could be sliced. Keep up the great work.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Good, not great. I was expecting more. Flavor was pretty nondescript. Some malt character, some bitterness. Perhaps this one was better fresh. Oh well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
8/31/2011: Mikkeller Stillwater Two Gypsies Our Side... Aroma: Alcohol steeped grapefruit and orange peel; yeasty, hint of yeasty dough; very fruity with a hint of fresh apricot and pineapple. Appearance: Opaque gold color with a foamy, dull beige head. Flavor: Fruity and spicy; lots of citrusy hoppiness (for the style); I like the moderate grapefruit peel/pithe bite in the finish. Palate: Medium to medium-full body; soft and fuzzy feel; good level of carbonation. Overall: Nice beer and quite tasty.
