Draft. Beige head, cola brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, some syrup, spicy, light earthy, smoke. Taste is moderately sweet, syrup/bittersweet chocolate, earthy, some spicy, light smoke. Medium body, some stickiness.

Tap at Max’s of Fells Point. Pours a clear deep cola with muddy, sludge green highlights. (??) Small head. Nose is mild licorice and sweet cola. Taste is bitter, astringent, sticky, dirty, earthy, ashy with mild vegetal notes. Biting carbonation. Did not enjoy.

Tap. Pours opaque with a medium, fizzy light tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is smoke, meat, chocolate and roast malt, dark fruits (prunes), brown sugar, and coffee. Flavor is dark roast malt, light coffee and chocolate malt, Belgian yeast, dark fruits and a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

dark brown, thin beige ring for a head with wisps. Dry bakers chocolate nose, bit diaper, dry grains and earth, no manure. Reminds of elephant stable. Flavor is chocolate, lightly biting rye spice, bit of citrus and sweetness for Stillwater.

Doughy chocolate and roast nose, lots of toffee and a touch raisins. The taste is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, lots of milk chocolate, very light roast, a touch of plum, and molasses.
