3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer appears a hazy, straw yellow hue with a lasting white head. The aroma is enticing, offering a bouquet of floral notes, citrus, earth, yeast, grass. The flavor has all of the aforementioned characteristics, as well as a pleasant spice character. The feel is smooth on the palate, finishing dry with a crisp hop character. Light bodied, easy to drink, complex, delicious. I would happily have this again. Recommended.

Bottle shared at Spuyten Duyvil for Zwanze Day 2012. Pours a cloudy light yellow color with a bright white head. The nose is thin but stingy with brett and modest malt sweetness. On the palate it is refreshing as all hell. Nice citrus and zing from the Brett but smooth mouthfeel. I have no clue what beer was like during Prohibition but I doubt it was like this. No matter... super tasty.

22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours cloudy golden with a fluffy, white head. Aroma of light malts, some floral hops, and an interesting earthiness from the yeast. Flavor the same, with a good blend of everything. Average to light texture. An interesting beer, but itís not the best in my opinion.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2013 Bottle courtesy of Paul at Spuyten Duyvil during Zwanze day 2012. Pours a clear golden body (more haze as you work your way to the bottom of the bottle) with nice white lacing. Aroma is delicate brett, fresh grassy hop, clean malt, light funk and citrus. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp with notes of freshly cut grass, hops, tons of Brett, light citrus, funk and a nice earthy finish. Awesome and sessionable.

Poured from a bottle at zwanze day thanks to someone in RB crew for purchasing. Pours golden with frothy white head. Nose is pretty funky indeed. Tastes of Brett, floral, oranges, earth, and barnyard. A tart sourness and extremely drying. Fun brew

Draft. Poured a slightly hazy pale gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was quite hoppy and fairly bretty -- some funk and tropical fruit. The flavor was mildly funky, some mild fruity esters, lemon. Had the flavor and mouthfeel of a lager -- maybe that was the pilsner malt and saaz hops. Fine carbonation -- almost creamy in texture. Many at my table thought this was pretty blah, but I liked its subtle complexity. And I love low ABV farmhouse ales.

750 ml bottle
A low ABV beer spiked with brett? This was going to be an interesting experience for sure. The payoff was worth the risk. Thanks to tastybeer for sharing a fine release that shows bigger is not always better.
Aroma / Appearance - A rich billowing head surges like foamy soap bubbles. The cloudy base underneath eventually settles. Contained within is a very dry and yeasty presence like a low alcohol champagne.
Flavor / Palate - Bubbly carbonation sparkles like a ginger ale on the tongue. Lemon 7UP carries to a dry finish that doesnít take long to disappear. While it doesnít last long it is certainly memorable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden straw color with a tall, soapy white head. Smells very strongly of yeast. Some slight earthy funk, a bit of straw, some grass, and sweet biscuit malt. Light citrus zest and some peach. Tastes a bit more bitter than expected. Earthy, grassy, and quite floral. Lots of peach, some straw, a light funk, plenty of yeast, and some sweet bready malt. Very crisp and dry on the finish.

Pale yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is somewhat strong lemon, oddly reminiscent of a household cleaner. Very funky and a bit off putting. Flavor is sharp and a bit astringent. Lemon is strong with the same funkiness from the aroma toned down a bit. Taste a lot like an aggressive pale adjunct lager with much more aggressive carbonation. Finish is extremely bitter. Description sounds unpleasant, but itís oddly compelling. Itís probably the most interesting beer Iíve had that could still qualify as "lawnmower" beer.
