Bottle #53. Vanilla. Oxidized malts - anise, eraser. More like a Baltic Porter. A wet body, dark caramels, biscuit flavors, and some honey-edged sweetness. Very interesting.

Bottle courtesy of ryan. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of cocoa, roast, coffee. Nice roasty cocoa flavor, reminds me of bitter dark chocolate. Nice body and mouthfeel with a clean finish

Courtesy of ryan. Black, minimal beige head. Nice roast, bakers chocolate, big hop character, mostly pine. Flavor is very dry, bakers cocoa, clean roast, hops cleanse through the back end. Very clean, dry. Very well attenuated, maybe too much for an impy st.

Bottle #58. Dark brown/black body with a small tan head; fading to a light cover. Very nice, dark chocolate nose, solid roasted coffee notes and a touch of raisins. The taste is lightly sweet, this is very highly attenuated for an Imperial Stout. The bitterness is nicely balancing, solidly hoppy, with some really nice, dry bakers chocolate and lots of roast. Body is soft with gentle carbonation. Finish is clean and slightly refreshing. Sort of an Imperial Dry Stout.

Bottle: The aroma consists of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, black licorice, and a hint of vanilla. It pours a dark brown, virtually black, with a small khaki head that quickly fades to ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with dark chocolate and caramel. There’s some plum notes and black licorice in the background. The finish has some mild roasted coffee. Medium-full bodied with mild carbonation.
