3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at The Farmers’ Cabinet in Philadelphia, PA.
Pours a hazy golden yellow color with cloudy straw edges and a one finger white head that quickly settles into a thin lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Slightly musty aroma with subtle earthy oak, grass and straw notes. Not as funky, floral or herbal as other beers in the series with hints of light fruit sweetness subtle medicinal notes. Faint lactic funk but mostly light frut and tea leaf.
Medium bodied and much more complex and sour than the nose suggests. Tart, puckering and slightly funky with faint lacto, lots of sweet citrus and lingering acetic vinegar. Although it’s funky and tart, this beer isn’t acidic or abrasive. It’s actually very refreshing and easy to drink with the tea undertones more subtle than the other variations. Faint herbal/floral with a prominent citrus character, especially lemon juice and grapefruit followed by subtle spice and herbal tea left. There’s an odd vitamin graininess in finish but it doesn’t affect the flavor very much. Another variation of this series that very complex without sacrificing flavor or drinkability.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
glass from Farmers Cabinet. Poured slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of lemon citrus, earthy, brett. mouthfeel was crisp with flavors of lemon, light acidic citrus, and a nice sourness. Slightly more tart then the oolong version but a great all day drinker. (if I could get enough to drink all day).

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Next to last-but respectable. (7th of 8) Pale, slightly hazy orange-yellow. Thin white, fluffy head. Spotty lacing. Nose is full of orange, peach, lemon. Subtle pale malts. Hints of acidity in the nose. Flavor is a bit mellow compared to the others which have more "pop." Medium to light bodied, mild carbonation. Noticeably more sour than the others-perhaps this is what contributed to the otherwise muted flavor profile?
