COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Stillwater Sensory Series is a collaboration between Stillwater Artisanal and singular musical artists. In this first collaboration, Stillwater works with Lower Dens to make an ale based on an interpretation of their song, "In the End is the Beginning." On the bottle itself, a QR code will link to an exclusive Lower Dens performance of the song. Ultimately, this is a true artistic collaboration that aims to create a full sensory experience - sound, sight, smell, touch, and taste. www.stillwatersensory.com

Bottle. This was an odd choice for me after the other beers I drank tonight, but I had no idea to figure out what this was. But anyway ... hazy orange-yellow beer with a fizzy but towering head. The aroma is sweet, fruity and earthy. This drinks like a classic farmhouse ale, with a bit of mandarin orange, tropical fruit, fizz, and sugar. Good stuff. (#5062, 6/19/2013)

Fat på CBC 2013. Riktigt gott. Smak och doft av frukt, hibiskus, jäst med toner av honung och nektar. Syrlig, örtig och lagom söt. Trevlig beska med torr och syrlig eftersmak.

Bottle from Appalachian Vintner. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with evident carbonation and a large frothy off-white head. Looks nice. Aroma of caramel, bread, strong floral notes and mild herbal hops. The taste is dry pale malts, citrus, spice, hibiscus and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied, good balance. Very nice.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2013 Pours a hazy blondish peachy gold with a couple fingers of foamy fizz and cued up the music video to accompany it. Pretty cool not really my style of music but I want the full sensory experience. A bright vibrant earthy saison with a slightly rusty fruit on the nose...in a good way. Fizzed out flavors with a grat mouthfeel that tingles and pleases. The flavors are a lively abyss of straw, sweet herbaceousness, and the slightest hint of fruity tartness that Im assuming is from the hibiscus but its more of a tart floral cherry that dials the whole experience in to almost perfection ! Top Notch !

Draft at Blue Dog Lansdale. Pours hazy dark straw toward orange with frothy off-white head. Nose is tropical citrus fruit, funky malt, floral spice. Tastes of tropical citrus, pineapple and tangerine, mild coconut and hoppy hibiscus notes. Medium and lively palate; champagny, with a tropical fruity and effervescent finish. Very unique and very enjoyable.

The taste and sound had tart floral notes, with a pleasant dry finish. Sour and slightly acidic performance.

Really nicely done from Stillwater once again. Pours murky golden/orange with a modest sized off-white head. The aroma has saison funky yeast, hibiscus, flowery/powdery herbalness, slightly sweet malt, pepper and nectarines - very nice. It has a medium crisp body with a good amount of gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with very big herbal and mineral traits, rustic earthy saison yeast (almost Biere de garde in this aspect), dry fruit, crackers and granola. The finish is drier and shows more minerals, floral and powder. The hibiscus is there, but more subtle in the background. Super solid one here.

On tap at Proletariat prior to heading to Andy’s for New Years. Pours a hazed gold with orange highlights under a medium sized white head. Musky, funky yeast. Medium bodied, sweet musk, wheat. Soft musk, crisp and yeasty. Lots of nice gentle funk. More musk into the finish and the faintest hint of cucumber. Beautiful.

Pours a clean/soft pale golden yellow with one finger of foamy white head. Very interesting aroma, very layered aromatics. Lots of yeasty funk with a raw bread dough element and light fruity sweetness. A hint of acidity shows as well with a character similar to a white wine. Some pear and floral hints show as well. Lots of raw fruit and bread dough in the flavor with an element that approaches being vegetal. Some citrus rind (lemon more than anything else) and peppery notes in the finish, lemongrass. Very nice mouthfeel, light bodied and dry but with a coating mouthfeel.
