Pours bright hazy gold with lots of carbonation and a pillowy white head, really nice looking. Aroma is yeast and lemon pepper spice. Nice crisp and bitter up front. Lots of Sweet lemon and ginger like spice. Nice medium light malty body, carbonation is pretty heavy and it has a bit of a hoppy bite to, unless thatís just the spice fromt he yeast im tasting. Good stuff.

Bottle from Olbutikken. Tangy lemon nose, cream, grass. Glowing gold with a little orange, and a fine head. Very lemony flavor, somewhat sweet. Grainy, spicy yeast, drying out at the finish. Full, soft body. Very nice; a bit too sweet, but good.

As farmhouse ales go this is a pretty solid one. Pours a cloudy pale gold with mild off-white head. A complex aroma of spice (pepper & coriander), with a hint of citrus.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled June 14, 2013.
Appearance: The body is crystal clear with an orange to amber hue with a tall and dense white head that slowly settles into a creamy full coating.
Aroma: The aroma leans dry with hints of lemon, dry straw, pepper with hints of strawberry and bubblegum very faint.
Taste: The beer starts off malty and a touch sweet but becomes dry and straw-like with orange and hints of pepper by the finish. The finish is dry, but not overly so.
Palate: Medium bodied, a touch thin, with high carbonation.
Overall: Simply put this is a great saison. This is pretty much what you think of when you think of the style. Enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (brewed at Two Roads in Stratford, not Dog in Baltimore).
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of bubble gum, cotton candy, banana taffy, pepper, alcohol.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
The aroma has some very nice characters but is marred by the candyish-sugary notes. It smells like itís going to be sweet, and alas, it is...despite strong finishing bitterness, the sugars are just too pervasive and persistent. This isnít really a saison IMHO, but it certainly gets closer than a lot of American attempts. Nice appearance and mouthfeel. A pleasant Belgian golden ale.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden, yellow hue.
Banana, bubblegum esters. Delicious, rich Belgian malts.
Sweet, pineapple, wheaty, slightly rough. Mild carbonation.
Straight forward yet one of favorite for straight saison.
